Diamond gems: Presenting 2019 All-Main Line baseball teams

Two noteworthy teams on the 2019 Main Line high school baseball scene were Devon Prep, the PIAA 2A state champions, and Malvern Prep (32-7), winners of the PAISAA tournament title for the third consecutive year.
In the Friends’ Schools League, Friends’ Central (18-8) and Shipley (16-8) both had standout seasons. In the Inter-Ac, Haverford School (20-10) enjoyed a winning season and Episcopal Academy (12-12) experienced a solid campaign. The Central League featured a solid lineup of Main Line teams that included Harriton (10-8), Lower Merion (11-9), Haverford High (10-10) and Radnor (8-8 in league play).
The All-Main Line high school baseball teams are selected by the coaches. Because Main Line Media News covers 19 high schools, the Main Line Media News sports staff limits the number of sports available to first team, second team and honorable mention – but follows the priority of the coaches’ selections.
