Tanis pitches Delco Christian to district final

Brett Tanis was in control from the start to make sure top-seeded Delco Christian reached the championship game of the District 1 Class A baseball tournament Tuesday.

Tanis allowed two hits and fanned seven in a five-inning, complete-game effort to lead the Knights to a 12-2 victory over Morrisville.

DC will take on second-seed Faith Christian Thursday at Immaculata University for the title and a trip to the PIAA tournament.

Tyler Rossini and Penn Schmidt both hit doubles for the Knights.
