Downingtown West plated seven runs in the third inning en route to posting a 12-1 Ches-Mont League baseball victory over Oxford in six innings on Tuesday afternoon.
Brett Connolly led the the way with two triples, four RBIs and two runs scored.
Stephen Furia had three hits and an RBI and scored three times as well as allowing one run on three hits nine strikeouts in 4 2/3 innings to earn the win.
Sam Stancil had two of the Hornets’ three hits and drove in their lone run.

Coatesville 6, Sun Valley 0 >> Sean Kinsler allowed two hits and two walks with eight strikeouts over six innings to guide the Red Raiders to the Ches-Mont victory. Offensively, Adam Clark was 1-for-4 with three RBIs. Jason Larkin had two hits and drove in a run and Chase Charron had two hits and scored twice.

Softball
Coatesville 12, Sun Valley 0, 5 innings >> Gracelyn Lanids fired a one-hit shutout, striking out 13 as the Red Raiders rolled to the Ches-Mont victory. The offense was led by Ali Burke’s three-RBI triple, Jill Wimmer’s two-run homer and two-hit games from Danielle Sweigart and Camryn Popoff. Abby Moran had the lone hit for Sun Valley.

Girls Lacrosse
Villa Maria 18, Villa Joseph Marie 2 >> Sophia Tray, Gerogia Spano and Laura Esgro posted three goals each as the Hurricanes (1-3) cruised to the AACA victory. Remi Burns collected two goals and three assists. Shea Burns scored twice. Quinn Hechler recorded seven saves.
Conestoga 15, Strath Haven 8 >> Carolyn Jones registered four goals, while Georgia Rios and Price Orcutt had three each as the Pioneers (2-1) notched the Central League victory. Brooke Bicke added a pair of goals. Courtney Smock and Anaya Onwubuariri combined for five saves.

Boys Tennis
Unionville 5, Kennett 2 >> The Longhorns (4-0, 6-1) swept the doubles to power their way to the Ches-Mont American triumph. Advik Jaskil and Ethan Wang started off by winning at first doubles. Logan Leighton and Henry Kegley won their singles matches for the Blue Demons.

Boys Volleyball
Downingtown East 3, Downingtown West >> The Cougars edged the Whippets. 21-25, 27-25, 25–15, 25–22. For West, Brian O’Hara led the way with 15 kills and four blocks. Cody Bice had six kills, Collin Ayeme had five blocks, Rowan Weldon added four kills and three blocks, Foster Weldon contributed two kills and two aces and Jeremy Christian had three aces and 15 assists.

Men’s Tennis
Immaculata 6, Penn State Brandywine 1 >> Immaculata won two out of three doubles matches to take a 1-0 lead in the match. The Mighty Macs won five out of six singles matches to earn the 6-1 victory. With their win Immaculata improves to 1-5 overall. Nicholas Fleming, Nicholas Brown, Mike DeMattei, Luas Lau and Dylan Fitzgibbon collected singles victories for Immaculata.
