Norristown 16, Kennett 8
Norristown joined Owen J. Roberts, Upper Perkiomen and Phoenixville as the last four unbeaten teams in the PAC after a hard-fought victory in a defensive struggle against Kennett on Saturday afternoon. The Eagles, OJR and Upper Perk are all 3-0, while Phoenixville has won its first two contests. Norristown will travel to face another 3-0 squad in the form of West Chester Rustin on Friday at 7 p.m. Rustin knocked off Pope John Paul II on Saturday to deal the Golden Panthers their first loss of the season.

Perkiomen Valley 3, Hamburg 2 (OT); Perkiomen Valley 3, Brandywine Heights 1
The Vikings won both of their games at a Saturday tournament at Hamburg High School. First, PV knocked off the hosts in overtime, with Adrianna Corropolese tallying the game winner off an assist from Brianna Young 4:20 into the extra session. Young added an unassisted tally earlier in the contest, and Mia Corropolese did the same for Perk Valley’s second goal. Anna Mecouch recorded four saves in goal.
In the second game of the doubleheader, Giavanna Marciano scored PV’s first two goals to rally past a 1-0 deficit, with an assist to Mia Corropolese on the first score and Adrianna Corropolese on the second. Taylor Martin added an unassisted goal to complete the scoring. Mecouch and Becky Taylor combined to record four saves in goal.
Boyertown 3, Daniel Boone 0
Harper Glennon and Eliana Kiefer staked the Bears to a 2-0 halftime lead, and Lauren Earley tacked on an additional goal in the second half to lead Boyertown to a non-league triumph.
Spring-Ford 4, Harriton 1
Erin Buckley, Molly Kennedy, Kristina Cirino and Izzy Pandorf all scored for the Rams in a non-league victory over Harriton. Kennedy, Cirino and Pandorf also recorded assists, as did Ava Hissong. Olivia Nield and Riley Reavy teamed up to make nine saves in goal.

Norristown 4, Millersburg 1; Norristown 4, Schuylkill Valley 0
Norristown stayed hot on Saturday, sweeping a doubleheader at Reading High School to move to 4-1 overall on the season. Steve Ruiz scored twice in the opener for the Eagles, who also got goals from Jayson Garcia and Ricardo Romero. Alexis Zurita picked up two assists, and Ruiz added one of his own.
In the second game, Ruiz posted a hat trick and Jose Salvador added the team’s fourth tally. Zurita registered two more assists, and Ishmeal Kromah and Luis Zavala had one helper apiece.
Kutztown 4, Upper Perkiomen 3
Matthew Fisher remained blazing hot for Upper Perk, scoring all three of his team’s goals in a non-league loss to Kutztown. Fisher has registered multiple hat tricks already this season, but the Indians let a 3-1 halftime lead slip away. Brae Jerrom assisted on one of Fisher’s tallies, and Ryan Cairns came away with 13 saves in the losing effort.

Girls Volleyball
Boyertown 3, Central Bucks West 0 (25-21, 25-12, 25-18)
Boyertown picked up a straight-sets non-league win over CB West, with Lauren Mckeon leading the charge with 15 kills. Madelyn Weaver and Tori O’Barrow led the team with four blocks each, and Kyra Neiswender and Abby Dornblaster posted three aces apiece. Jenna Christman added eight digs, and Sydney Scheck registered 16 assists in the victory.
Upper Merion 3, Abington 1
Upper Merion prevailed in a battle of unbeaten teams this season, picking up an impressive non-league win over Abington. The Vikings moved to 6-0 on the season with huge matches against Boyertown and Spring-Ford coming up this week.

Cross Country
Spring-Ford and Owen J. Roberts all competed at the Unionville Two Mile Bash on Saturday at Unionville HS. The Spring-Ford boys finished fourth overall, while OJR ended up in 27th place out of 39 competing teams. The OJR girls finished first overall as a team, while Spring-Ford sat 13th out of 37 schools. The Wildcats’ Ellie Thompson won the 10th grade girls event, while Nolan Walters did the same in the 9th grade boys race. Abigail Tuturice had Spring-Ford’s highest female finish at seventh in the 12th grade girls race, and Justin Delp scored a sixth-place finish in the 10th grade boys event.
Over at Kutztown University, Phoenixville and Pottsgrove competed in PTXC15, which was split into two varsity divisions for each gender — Gold and Blue. Pottsgrove finished 16th in Varsity Blue Boys, while Phoenixville placed 15th in Varsity Gold Boys. The Phoenixville girls finished ninth in the Varsity Gold Girls event. The Phantoms’ Zoe Cimo finished in sixth place overall. Pottsgrove’s Elsa Lucas scored a top-20 finish, placing 16th overall.
Methacton participated in the Abington Invitation at Abington High School, with the boys squad finishing third and the girls team placing ninth. Charles Reith, Tyler Rifkin and Curtis Alexander finished in seventh through ninth places, respectively. Juliana Trigone had the best girls finish, claiming 13th place overall.
Finally, Boyertown, Upper Merion and Upper Perkiomen were all in action at the DeSales Centaur Meet at DeSales University. The Boyertown boys placed second overall as a team, while Upper Perkiomen was fourth and Upper Merion fifth. Aiden Voth of Boyertown finished second overall individually, while Anthony Tornambe (Upper Merion, eighth) and John Kuzmission (Upper Perk, 12th) also had strong showings. On the girls’ end, Boyertown finished in sixth place, while Upper Perk nabbed eighth place and Upper Merion was right behind in ninth. Evangelina Montanye (Boyertown, fourth), Maren Landis (UP, seventh) and Morgan Lawson-Moll (UM, 25th) had the highest individual finishes among the three schools.
