High Schools: Jules Bergen, Interboro stay high and dry for 10th straight win

Interboro got the better of the conditions and of Ridley Saturday, grinding out a 6-4 win for the Bucs’ 10th straight softball victory.

Jules Bergen went the distance, scattering eight hits. Mare Nagle reached base four times and had three hits and an RBI. Summer Burrell had two hits and an RBI, and Olivia Bulovas drove in two runs with her two hits for the Bucs (13-3).

Boys Lacrosse

Ryan Crowley and Matt Donohue scored twice each, Crowley adding an assist, as Cardinal O’Hara topped Oxford, 7-5, in a nonleague affair.

Nick Hanna made 13 saves in goal.

In other nonleague action:

Episcopal Academy 8, St. Augustine Prep 6 >> Dylan Jaszcz had a hand in more than half of EA’s goals with two markers and three assists, and Parker Smith added two goals and a helper. Jack Guido was stellar in goal with 14 saves.

Haverford 11, Council Rock North 5 >> Eamon Brennan registered five goals for the Fords.

Kristos McKendry tallied a hat trick. Wade DeVitis made six saves, and the Fords kept a shutout in the fourth quarter.

Penncrest 7, Kennett 4 >> Caden Pauksits made 14 saves as the Lions made five first-half goals stand up. Aaron Goldstein dished three assists. Spencer Meile and Spencer Tyson scored twice each.

Girls Lacrosse

Ellie Wisch scored four goals to go with 11 draw controls, and Kiki Liebezeit tallied a hat trick as Conestoga took down Archbishop Carroll, 9-7, in a battle of powers.

In other nonleague action:

Springfield 15, Pennridge 6 >> Devin Buggy and Kylee O’Donnell scored three goals each as the Cougars (10-5) prevailed in what could be a districts preview.

Jaclyn Guille, Allie Hunter, Maddie Kane and Claire Lynch scored twice apiece, Lynch adding two assists.

Haverford 9, Upper Dublin 8 >> The Fords led by three at the half and held on late, thanks to a hat trick from Annie Walker and nine saves from Lucey McCloskey.

Ava Pradelli and Hilary Elsner had two goals and an assist each. Kayla Eliot also scored twice.
