Softball

Pope John Paul II 5, Norristown 4

Kelly Murphy delivered the game-winning single in the bottom of the seventh to score Molly Houchins for a comeback PAC crossover win Thursday.

Murphy was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI, including a game-tying RBI two-bagger in the fifth inning.

Houchins was 4-for-4 with an RBI. Pitcher Lexi DiBricida went the distance, allowing seven hits and three earned runs with six strikeouts.

For Norristown, Alana Echevarria was 2-for-3 with an RBI and Isabella Whitley had two hits and an RBI.

Perkiomen School 11, NJCM 1

Claudia Knowles threw six no-hit innings and struck out 16 to lead 12-hit Perk School to victory Thursday,

E Lessard was 3-for-3 while Kenna Tobin (2 doubles, 2 RBI), C Hannigan-Christian (triple, RBI) and Lily Kovaleski (2 RBI) had two hits apiece.

Boys lacrosse

Methacton 9, Pope John Paul II 8

Methacton prevailed over PJP in a narrow PAC contest, maintaining a 3-2 halftime lead through an even second half for the win.

For PJP, senior goalie Sean Fallon made 23 saves while scoring leaders were Ian Young (3G, 2A) and Brady Kleine (2G, 4A).

Boyertown 25, Interboro 1

Brayden Kuhar, Hayden Rogoff and Ryder Gehris scored four goals apiece for Boyertown in a dominant PAC win over Interboro Thursday.

Mason Barndt (1G, 4A) and Gio Daddario (2G, 4A) were other big contributors for Boyertown.

Girls Lacrosse

Upper Perkiomen 9, Pope John Paul II 6

Upper Perk owned the fourth quarter, winning the frame 3-0 to emerge with a PAC Frontier win over PJP.

Leading UP were Abby Davidheiser (3G, 1A) and Sarah Fisher and Abby Orsini, who scored two goals each. Goalie Madison Hicks made seven saves.

Baseball

Friends Central 2, Perkiomen School 1

James Pendrak limited limited Perk School to five hits and Friends’ Central got a walkoff RBI single from Brendan Aiken to drop the Panthers to 11-3.

Ryan Stubblefield tied the game in the seventh with an RBI single but couldn’t hang on in the bottom half.

Hunter Petrich was solid for Perk, allowing six hits and two runs in 6 ⅓ innings. He struck out three and walked two.

Boys Volleyball

Spring-Ford 3, Kennett 0

Spring-Ford won in three sets, 25-17, 25-18, 25-19 over Kennett at home Thursday.

Rams leaders were PJ Sczerba (10 kills, 10 digs), Zach Parker (6 kills, 4 blocks), Caleb Summers (8 kills, 11 digs) and Luc Nguyen (15 assists).
