The Ridley boys track and field team completed an undefeated regular season Wednesday by sweeping a Central League super meet against Penncrest (90-60), Radnor (115-25), Springfield (122-28), Harriton (141-9) and Upper Darby (116-34).

Funmi Olugbenga led the way with individual victories in the 400-meter dash and the long jump. He also anchored the Green Raiders’ winning 4 x 800 relay.

Other winners for Ridley included AJ Dahn in the 200-meter dash, Jackson Kane in the mile and Jayden Brown in the triple jump.

George Bostwick of Penncrest won the 110 and 300 hurdles.

Baseball

Bobby Doherty’s two-run single in the top of the 11th inning lifted Ridley to a 2-1 Central League win over Penncrest.

Chris Kimmel scattered six hits and fanned six over 8.2 innings. Jake Mansfield recorded the win in relief.

Gavin Brown gave the Lions eight innings of one-hit ball, striking out six. Ben Pennoni hit an RBI single in the bottom of the 11th, but the Lions had a runner thrown out at third base, ending the game.

Haverford 5, Radnor 4 >> The Fords rallied with three runs in the top of the sixth inning. Christian Cerelli had the go-ahead RBI single after Cam McCormack tied the game with a double.

Andres Cruz and Daniel Kellis had two hits apiece for the Raptors, who stranded five runners in the last two innings.

Springfield 6, Conestoga 0 >> Colin Treude and Matt Bean pitched a combined two-hitter as the Cougars blanked the Pioneers.

Bean went 3-for-3 with a double, an RBI and two runs scored. Mike Turner added a hit and two RBIs.

Marple Newtown 6, Lower Merion 5 >> Sean Grogan scored the winning run in the bottom of the 10th on a Bennett Cox grounder to shortstop.

Aiden Pearson went 3-for-5 with a home run. Cox added a double and two singles. Aidin Curran also had a big fly.

Strath Haven 5, Garnet Valley 3 >> Luke D’Ancona recorded 11 K’s and allowed three runs on three hits in a complete-game victory.

Eli Price went 2-for-3 with two RBIs, and Zane Malarkey ripped an RBI double for the first-place Panthers (9-1, 6-1)

Cole Lambardo hit a two-run jack for the Jaguars.

In the nonleague action:

Hatboro-Horsham 5, Cardinal O’Hara 3 >> Landon Graham laced a run-scoring triple, and Brendan Till and Noah McMullen had two hits apiece for the Lions.

Softball

Interboro showed what it means to have a never-say-die attitude, scoring seven runs with two outs in the bottom of the sixth inning on the way to an 8-7 victory over Bonner & Prendergast.

Ava Magee and Summer Burrell (3-for-4) delivered two-run doubles to fuel the Bucs’ comeback.

Mara George blasted two homers and had five RBIs for the Pandas. Georgie Mariani also went yard.

In the Central League:

Garnet Valley 10, Strath Haven 0 >> Ashlyn Thompson pounded the strike zone en route to a complete-game shutout in five innings. Thompson threw a mere 11 balls and allowed two hits while striking out one.

The Sareyka sisters powered the GV offense. Alaina went 3-for-3 with two doubles, a walk and run scored. Anna went 2-for-2 with a double, a walk and two runs scored.

Maddie Stiles smacked a double, and Maddie Mendzona legged out a triple for the Jags.

Haverford 15, Radnor 4 >> In her first varsity pitching start, Ali Daly struck out four across five innings of work. Megan Kent, Madie Culbertson and Morgan Barrett all tripled. Lexie Vesco, Lucy Ardizzi, Annabelle Knese and Grace Ciochetto each doubled.

Ridley 7, Penncrest 4 >> Ryleigh Hagerty finished with two hits, three RBIs and a run scored for the Green Raiders. Caitlyn Senkow and Maddie Gordon each went 2-for-3 with two runs scored.

Addison Najmola was the winning pitcher.

In the Ches-Mont League:

Avon Grove 9, Sun Valley 1 >> Annabel Hertz, McKenna Ogurko, Abby Gawne and Layla Murphy had hits for the Vanguards.

Boys Lacrosse

Cardinal O’Hara’s R.C. boys came through in double overtime against Lansdale Catholic. Ryan Crowley scored off a pass from Ryan Connor to give the Lions a thrilling 8-7 victory.

Crowley finished with a hat trick. Dillon DiBattista netted a pair of goals. Goalie Nick Hanna made 12 saves.

Girls Lacrosse

Fran Fazio and Eva Marquis scored four goals apiece to help lead Cardinal O’Hara past Dock Mennonite, 13-3, in nonleague action.

Brigid Amoroso chipped in two goals and Honor Breen had three assists for the Lions. Marina Mersch (11 saves) was excellent between the pipes.

In the Central League:

Radnor 13, Penncrest 10 >> Taylor Murphy, Kate Gallagher and Sarah Kelley scored three goals apiece for the Raptors, who overcame a 5-2 deficit after the first quarter late Tuesday. Arden Jansen made 10 saves.

Adisyn Bernhart tallied five goals and one assist, while Kate Stanton netted four goals for the Lions.

Ridley 6, Marple Newtown 5 >> Abby Axe notched three goals and two assists as the Green Raiders squeaked past the Tigers late Tuesday. Gabby DiGiacomo had two goals and Alyssa Viola stopped six shots in net.

Riley Mattson led the Tigers with two goals. Rowan Hilden registered nine saves.
