BOYS’ LACROSSE

Haverford 7, Perkiomen Valley 6 (OT)

Perk Valley got off to a hot start, scoring four first-quarter goals and holding two-goal leads after both the first and second periods. However, the Vikings’ offense got shut out in the second half and overtime, with Haverford’s Kristos McKendry notching the game-winner. Luke Hanlon scored three times for PV, and Connor Macklin, Aiden Jacoby and Jackson Baker also found the back of the net. Jacoby added an assist and 12 face-off wins, and Christian Jones made 12 saves in goal.

Nils McCallion scored three times for Haverford, and Wade Devitis made a superb 18 stops in the cage.

BASEBALL

Perkiomen Valley 18, Twin Valley 2

Connor McClelland had three hits, including a home run, while scoring three runs and knocking in four more in a dominant non-league victory for Perk Valley. McClelland was one of five Vikings to knock in two or more runs, along with Aidan Autovino (2-for-2, 2B, 3R, 4RBI, SB), Collin Hughes (2-for-3, 2R, 3RBI), Braden Tighe (2-for-3, 2B, R, 3RBI) and Ryan Murphy (2-for-3, R, 2RBI). Michael Strechay set the table for the Vikings from the leadoff spot, going 2-for-3 with a stolen base and three runs scored. Ryan McMenamin pitched the first three innings for PV, allowing four hits, a walk and one earned run.

Daniel Boone 4, Wyomissing 3

The Blazers fell into an early 2-0 hole before scoring four unanswered runs and holding off a late rally attempt by visiting Wyomissing. The Blazers had just four hits, none for extra bases, but also drew seven walks and stole three bases en route to a pair of runs in both the home second and fifth innings. Blake Jeitles started for DB and tossed five strong innings, allowing just three hits and two unearned runs while picking up the win. Wyomissing loaded the bases with one out in the seventh, but reliever Alex Hughes induced an RBI groundout and a pop out to end the threat and earn the save.

SOFTBALL

Downingtown East 6, Owen J. Roberts 4

Sophomore P/1B Amelia Atkins hit a three-run home run while pitching the first 4 ⅓ innings for OJR, allowing three earned runs and helping keep her offense within striking distance.
