The Conestoga girls’ lacrosse squad topped Bishop Shanahan 10-5 to notch its first victory of the season Thursday evening. Chloe Brown and Kiki Liebezeit each had four goals to lead the Pioneers (1-2 overall). Maddie Pulliam and Carolyn Jones each added a goal for ’Stoga.

Kennett 8, Haverford 2 >> Mary Carroll and Maeve Wells scored three and two goals, respectively, as the Demons prevailed in non-conference action. Marissa Herring added a goal and an assist, and goaltender Kaitlyn Snoke turned aside seven shots for the winners.

Baseball

West Chester Rustin 10, Coatesville 6 >> Scotty Ely delivered two hits and drove in two runs to power the Knights past the Raiders. Drew Brown (three RBI) and Phil Martini (two RBIs) also starred for Rustin. Magnus Krieger had three hits, including a homer, paced Coatesville.

Boys Lacrosse

Penncrest 9, West Chester Henderson 3 >> The Warriors were tied 2-2 after one quarter but were outscored 3-0 in the second period and never recovered. Seamus Murphy scored two goals and Logan Goodwin added a goal for Henderson.

Boys Tennis

West Chester Henderson 7, Sun Valley 0 >> The Warriors swept all seven matches in straight sets over the Vanguards, winning 84 of 88 games. At No. 3 singles, Henderson’s Bensen Le topped Colin Diporjetto 6-1, 6-1. In doubles, the No. 2 team of Abhi Kandalam and Snehit Shadangi prevailed over Aiden Byrd and Leo Cianci, 6-2, 6-0.

Boys Volleyball

Exeter 3, Downingtown West 1 >> The Whippets fell 10-25, 20-25, 25-22, 14-25 to the Lions. Cole O’Hara (five kills, two aces, three block and 10 assists) paced West, and Brian O’Hara added three kills and an ace.

College

Men’s Volleyball

Neumann 3, Immaculata 0 >> The Mighty Macs fell 15-25, 17-25, 22-25 to the Knights in a road contest. Josh McGurl registered 11 kills and Joe Martell chipped in 24 assists for Immaculata, who ends the season with a 5-14 record.
