College Basketball: Bandurick powers Swarthmore past Haverford

Dana Bandurick scored 17 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as the Swarthmore women’s basketball team clinched a berth in the Centennial Conference tournament with a 64-38 victory over Haverford.

Norah Wingfield and Alyssa Hayashi netted 14 and 13 points, respectively, for the Garnet (12-12, 10-9).

Ally Landau paced the Fords (7-17, 4-15) with 13 points.

Saint Joseph’s 73, Dayton 47 >> Talya Brugler tallied 20 points on 10 of 16 shooting from the field as the Hawks improved to 23-2 overall and 10-2 in the Atlantic-10 Conference. Laura Ziegler chipped in 19 points, six rebounds, three assists and three steals.

Temple 86, UAB 72 >> Aleah Nelson produced a season-high 24 points to lead the Owls (14-10, 8-4 AAC). Tiara East contributed 17 points, while Rayne Tucker registered a double-double with 14 points and 15 rebounds.

George Washington 71, La Salle 49 >> Makayla Miller had a team-high 14 points, but the Explorers (7-17, 4-9 A-10) dropped their fourth straight decision. Nicole Melious added 14 points.

Nya Robertson poured in 25 points for GW (10-15, 3-10).

Men’s

Bryce Mullen’s layup as time expired in the second half gave Thaddeus Stevens a 55-53 victory over Williamson.

Semaj Cherry led the Mechanics with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Abdoulaye Diallo added 12 points and five assists in the loss.
