Girls soccer

Upper Perk 9, Pottstown 0: Sarah Fisher scored three goals in Upper Perk’s PAC Frontier win Wednesday. She became the program leader in scoring with 73 goals. Fisher added two assists. Her 47 assists and 193 points are also program records. Sarah Straup added three goals.

Upper Perk 5, Pope John Paul II 2: Upper Perk scored five unanswered goals, including three by Sarah Fisher, in a PAC Frontier win Tuesday. Sarah Straup had two assists and a goal.

Field hockey

North Penn 5, Souderton 2: Grace McGeehan scored three goals and Erika Pickford added two in the Knights SOL Colonial win Wednesday. Pickford put North Penn ahead, 2-1, early in the second quarter and doubled the advantage to 3-1 less than five minutes before halftime. Tatum Andrews and Ashley Paturzo scored for Souderton.

“Souderton is a team that never gives up and the fourth quarter was a lot of back and forth and heavy midfield play but our defense held steady and did a great job of keeping them off the scoreboard,” North Penn coach Shannon McCracken said. “We haven’t won at Souderton on their field in a few seasons, so I was really excited for our team to get the win tonight. They were determined and brought a lot of energy and effort all over the field. Our team has great chemistry and they played really well as a team tonight.”

Springfield Montco 4, Upper Moreland 1: Four different Spartans scored in an SOL Freedom win Wednesday. Emma Yoder and Norah Conlin gave Springfield a 2-0 lead in the first quarter. Jen Rex added a goal in the third and Bella Navo scored in the fourth.

Archbishop Carroll 6, Lansdale Catholic 2: Sienna Golden scored four goals in the Patriots PCL win Wednesday. Morgan Wood and Gracie Kucia added goals for Carroll. Ella Ruffles and Maddie Kennedy scored for LC.

Girls volleyball

Pope John Paul II 3, Upper Perk 0: Josie Arezina led the Golden Panthers with five kills in a PAC win Wednesday. Bria Daly had 15 assists and Sophia Benincasa nine digs.

Phoenixville 3, Pottsgrove 1: Kristen Brown had eight kills, 19 digs and one block in the Phantoms PAC win Wednesday. Kailey Judy added two aces, 23 assists, 10 digs and two kills, Carla DeBow six kills, four blocks and one dig, Mandie Horgan five kills,one block and two digs and Gianna Buce three aces and 20 digs.

Boyertown 3, Methacton 1: Abby Dornblaser had nine kills in the Bears PAC win Wednesday. Kyra Neiswneder had 15 digs, Madelyn Weaver five blocks, Sydney Scheck eight aces and Jenna Christman eight assists.

Boys water polo

Souderton 16, Wissahickon 10: Nate Kleppinger and Ryan Christie each scored four goals in Souderton’s win Wednesday. Will Stancziewski added three goals and three assistswhile leading the team with five kickouts drawn.
