West Chester Henderson and Downingtown East each had a couple of doubles teams advance to the semifinals of the Ches-Mont National Division doubles tournament Thursday.
The Henderson doubles teams of Kaitlyn Evans/Kiera Koay and Amelia Jarden/Maddie Walsh both advanced to the semifinals after a bye and two wins at straight sets Thursday, as did the Cougar doubles teams of Danielle Litvan/Maya Shankar and Dhriti Munagala/Mahi Patel.
The semifinals, to be played today at West Chester Henderson, will feature Evans/Koay against Litvan/Shankar and Jarden/Walsh against Munagala/Patel.

Girls’ volleyball
West Chester East 3, Downingtown West 0 >> The Vikings, who posted scores of 25-15, 25-9 and 25-14, were led by Katie McPeak (21 assists), Alexa Mork (11 kills, nine aces, eight digs), Annie Kerns (four kills), Sofia Keith (four kills, three blocks), Lauren Cuskey (six kills, six aces), Carys Lehr (three kills, one block) and Izzy Byrne (seven digs). The Whippets (6-8, 4-5) were led by Fallon Mitchell (six kills, two blocks), Leah Hampson (three kills, two blocks), Riley Burke (four kills, two blocks) and Emma Helveston (three kills).

Boys’ soccer
Great Valley 5, Oxford 0 >> The Patriots (7-6) got goals from Colin Sutton, Owen Teti, Davis Reilly, Keegan Mitchell and Mikey Dunphy, while goalie Tyler Holmes registered three saves. Jimmy Wisneski recorded seven saves for Oxford (4-8). Teti and Dunphy each dished out an assist.

Girls’ soccer
West Chester Rustin 2, West Chester Henderson 1 >> The host Golden Knights took a 1-0 lead when Sydney Yaw scored off of a corner. With the score tied 1-1, Rustin’s Emma Johnson scored on a corner. Rustin goalie Corrine Weber and the Golden Knights’ defense stopped the Warriors from scoring in the last quarter when the ball was in the Rustin defensive end for more than eight minutes.
