With running back Dominic Giuffre out for Schuylkill Valley, Panthers coach Bruce Harbach said it will be “next man up.”
The Panthers, in their first full game without their All-State junior, had no problems Friday night.
Logan Nawrocki threw four touchdown passes and ran for another TD to lead Schuylkill Valley to a 49-6 win over Pequea Valley in a Lancaster-Lebanon Section 5 game at Leesport.
Nawrocki threw touchdown passes of 9 yards to Dillon Lackner and 59 yards to Kowen Gerner in the first quarter.
The Panthers (2-0, 4-1) then put it away with 28 points in the second quarter.
Cooper Hohenadel scored on a 3-yard run, Nawrocki threw a 1-yard TD pass to Lucas Spotts, Nawrocki ran for a 24-yard score, then he capped the first-half scoring with a 27-yard pass to Spotts.
In the second half, Logan Cammauf had a 34-yard touchdown run to give the Panthers a 49-0 lead.
Giuffre suffered an arm injury in the first half of Schuylkill Valley’s 49-21 win over Kutztown in Week 4. The All-State senior is expected to miss three to four weeks, Harbach said earlier this week.
