North Penn 8, Pennsbury 0: North Penn scored five goals in the second quarter – two by Grace McGeehan – as the Knights rolled to their third straight shutout victory in Monday’s SOL crossover.
McGeehan also had an assist while Laura Albert converted twice on penalty strokes – opening the scoring at 10:27 in the second quarter then converting at 12:21 in the fourth for the game’s final tally.
Melissa Sessler’s first career goal off a corner at 7:45 in the third quarter made it 6-0 Knights (5-1-1, 4-1-1 SOL Colonial). Kylie Barwis had a goal and an assist, Erika Pickford and Pagie Shearer each had a goal while Ashleigh Barwis earned an assist.
Kayla Shaffer had 19 saves for Pennsbury (3-4-0, 2-4-0 SOL Patriot). North Penn got three saves from Kiley Moister and two saves from Sarah Heath.
Wissahickon 10, William Tennent 0: Kayla Mullin and Avery Mullin both scored first-half hat tricks as Wissahickon built a 7-0 halftime lead and cruised to an SOL crossover win.
Audrey Walsh had a goal and three assists for the Trojans (5-1-0, 5-0-0 SOL Liberty) while Kayla Pak recorded two assists. Sam Farno added a goal and an assist.
Faith Jampo and Sophia Kim each had a goal with Kiera Fonash, Carly Lehman and Julia Wells all collecting an assist.
Goalie Veronica Roth made 14 saves for William Tennent (1-7-0, 1-5-0 SOL Freedom). Wiss keeper Ava Fell had two saves.
Methacton 16, Pottstown 0: Carmela Maro, Lily DeWan and Renee Blake all had two goals and an assist as Methacton rolled to a PAC win.
Ceci Rhak finished with a goal and three assists while Lizzie Mun and Elena Weychert both scored twice for the Warriors, who led 12-0 at halftime.
Alexa Catoia, Madison Charles, Olivia Feliciani, Hannah Graf and Adrianna Hopple all had a goal. Isabella Kwan, Alyssa Sardo and Lea DeWan each collected an assist.
Spring-Ford 6, Pope John Paul II 2: Elise Reagan and Maddie Friend both scored twice while Marissa Cagliola added a goal and two assists as Spring-Ford earned a PAC win.
Kate Nilles scored both goals for Pope John Paul II while Golden Panther goalie Ava Parkinson made 14 saves.
Nina Scott also had a goal for the Rams, who led 4-1 at halftime. Erin Zimmerman, Emily Frey and Aubrey Grossman each had an assist. Goalie Norah Kirsch made five saves.
Girls Soccer
Plymouth Whitemarsh 2, Upper Dublin 1: Maddie McGuckien headed in a corner by Maddi Lazaroff to break a 1-1 tie in the second half and Plymouth Whitemarsh went on to claim its fourth straight win in the SOL Liberty matchup.
Upper Dublin (1-3-2, 1-3-2 division) took a 1-0 lead on a first-half free kick but the Colonials (5-1-1, 4-1-1) pulled level before the break as Keira Whelan scored after McGuckien sent a free kick into the 18-yard box.
Methacton 7, Pottstown 1: Aubrey Beaugard had a hat trick, scoring two of Methacton’s five second-half goals as the Warriors rolled to a PAC victory.
Kendall Rica, Maddy Washburn, Mia Chan and Sage Bowman all finished with a goal and assist for Methacton. Marlie Klein, Abby Masotta and Alyssa Lineen each collected an assist.
Goals by Beaugard in the fifth minute and Ricca in the 19th had the Warriors up 2-0 at the break. Washburn made it 3-0 in the 58th with goals from Beaugard (63rd) and Chan (64) extending the margin to five. Beaugard completed her hat trick with a strike in the 70th minute with Bowman scoring on a one-time volley off a Lineen cross in the 72nd.
Spring-Ford 1, Pope John Paul II 0: Molly Kennedy scored off a Maddie Budka assist, Olivia Nield made three saves and Spring-Ford earned a PAC shutout victory.
Boys Soccer
Methacton 10, Pottstown 0: Riel Jacobson scored twice as Methacton tallied all 10 of its goals in the first half as the Warriors rolled to its first win of the season.
Kristian Bauer, Matthew Chung, Logan Coutney, Cole Kleger, Ethan Kumar, Damian Mularz, Dishawn Shakes and Silas Stemler all had a goal for Methacton. Warriors goalie Jason Lugo-Munoz made one save.
Spring-Ford 2, Pope John Paul II 0: Pope John Paul II goalkeeper Jason Krum made 15 saves but Spring-Ford scored a goal in each half to earn a PAC victory.
Girls Volleyball
Spring-Ford 3, Methacton 2: Methacton led 2-1 after taking the second and third sets but Spring-Ford answered by winning the next two to rally for a 25-22, 24-26, 24-26, 25-12, 16-14 PAC Liberty win.
Makayla Batten had nine kills and three blocks, Caroline Welsh finished with nine kills and two blocks while Rachel Pettine had 35 assists, two aces, a block and a kill for Methacton (4-2,3-2). Mianna Ly collected 16 digs and three aces.
For Spring-Ford, Lauren Angelucci had 16 kills, three blocks and two digs while Lila Olsen totaled 15 kills, six blocks and a dig. Dannica Fuller had 16 assists, seven aces, five digs and three kills with Allan Bricker making six digs.
Pope John Paul II 3, Phoenixville 0: Natalie Ricevuto had 12 kills, Hutton Cordrey finished with nine kills and seven digs and Pope John Paul II swept Phoenixville 25-9, 25-10, 25-14 for a PAC Frontier victory.
Madison Monahan collected 23 assists and three digs while Maeve Gallagher posted six kills for the Golden Panthers. Gabriella Cooper made 14 digs while Bria Daly had three assists.
Golf
Central Bucks East 208, North Penn 220: Central Bucks East’s AJ Molnar shot a match-low 40 as the Patriots picked up an SOL Colonial win at PineCrest Country Club.
Kellen Toussaint led North Penn with a 42 while Soumil Patel and Ben Clark both carded a 43. East’s Will Dunsmore and Daniel Orford each finished with a 41.
Perkiomen Valley 197, Norristown 271: Perkiomen Valley’s Ayush Patel led all golfers with a 36 while teammate Brady Colyer shot a 39 as the Vikings earned a PAC win at Raven’s Claw Golf Course.
Gavin Walker paced Norristown with a 47.
Girls Golf
Perkiomen Valley 183, Hatboro-Horsham 223: Perkiomen Valley’s Abigail McCorkell carded a match-low 43 as the Vikings claimed a PAC win.
Mina Cho shot a team-best 44 for Hatboro-Horsham.

Upper Merion 4, Pope John Paul II 3: Upper Merion swept singles and earned a win at second doubles to edge Pope John Paul II for a PAC Frontier win.
Lily Hamric won first singles over PJP II’s Mia Zernick 6-2, 6-1, Melanie Evitts took second singles 6-0, 6-1 over Alana Swartz and at third singles UM’s Manavi Singh bested Taylor Dunn 6-4, 6-2.
