The West Chester East High School girls’ volleyball team (8-0) defeated Great Valley, 3-0, Tuesday, posting scores of 25-14, 25-16, 27-25. The Vikings were led by Katie McPeak (21 assists), Alexa Mork (nine kills, eight digs), Annie Kerns (eight kills), Sofia Keith (five kills, four blocks) and Izzy Byrne (seven digs, six aces).

Unionville 3, Downingtown West 0 >> The Longhorns, who posted scores of 25-19, 25-15 and 25-17, were led by Olivia Harper (27 assists), Ava Brenner (10 kills), Brianna Miller (eight kills, six aces) and Holland Van Deusen (eight assists). For the Whippets (3-5, 2-2), leaders included Fallon Mitchell (eight kills, two aces), Emma Helveston (five kills, three aces, three blocks), Ava Harple (11 digs, three aces), Madi Dougherty (14 digs) and Ava Brotze (three kills).

West Chester Rustin 3, Downingtown East 1 >> The Golden Knights, who posted scores of 25-22, 25-17, 17-25 and 25-21, were led by senior Jane Nelson (20 kills, 21 digs) and sophomore Maggie Goslee (32 assists).

Girls’ tennis

Conestoga 6, Harriton 1 >> Despite missing their number one singles player because of an illness, the Pioneers won to remain undefeated in the Central League.  Kate Emmanuel, who was filling in at the No. 1 spot, played her best match of the season defeating Lucy Sun 6 -2, 6-1.  The Pioneers’ Jennifer He won at second singles in straight sets.

Boys’ golf

Unionville 190, Great Valley 212 >> The Longhorns, who improved to 13-0 overall, 8-0 Ches-Mont American with the victopry, were led by Cole Donnelly (36).

Avon Grove 206, Downingtown East 211 >> The Red Devils were led at Whitford CC (par 36) by Tyler Sikorsky (38), Nick Heckmar (39), Jeff Neil (42), Jackson Coluna (43) and Grady O’Rurke (44). Leading scorers for the Cougars were Owen Wise (41), Calvin Pace (42), Taner Marusa (42), Charlie Thompson (43) and Brayden Phillips (43).

Coatesville 214, Bishop Shanahan 215 >> At Coatesville CC, the host Red Raiders were led by Carson Holmes (37), Braydon Jakatt (43), Sean Kinzeler (44), Landon Regenski (45) and Isaac Smith (45). For the Eagles, scoring leaders were Thomas Duncheshie (40), Jack Biruk (41), Julia Hashem (44), Daniel Zimmermann (45) and Pierce Drake (45).

Unionville 198, Great Valley 213 >> The top scorers for the Longhorns (6-3 in the Ches-Mont) were Sarina Patel (45), Reagan Wilson (48), Fiona Avondolio (51) and Brooke Donnelly (54).

Girls’ soccer

Coatesville 4, Oxford 0 >> In this Monday matchup, Red Raider goalkeeper Riley Kinzeler posted a shutout, while goals were scored by Emily Rescigno (penalty kick), Juliana Hatt (penalty kick), Cam Morley (assisted by Rescigno) and Kyleigh Mann (assisted by Hatt).
