Berks I

Wilson

Coach: Tim Fick, 21st season (also coached Wilson boys soccer team for 16 seasons).

Last season: 7-3 Berks I, 13-9; Berks runner-up, District 3 Class 4A qualifier.

Top players: All-division D Natalie Kairis, all-division D Emmi McLain, all-division MF Lily MacCausland, D Angie Rodriquez, MF Kaelin Mayo, F Alexa Kairis, F Ellee Vicari, D Kaleigh Willwerth.

Outlook: With a wealth of returning talent, the Bulldogs look to contend for the division title and return to the postseason.

Gov. Mifflin

Coach: Ed Deren Jr., 31st season.

PIAA classification: Class 4A.

Last season: 8-1-1 Berks I, 12-8-1; Berks semifinalist, District 3 Class 4A qualifier.

Top players: All-Berks F Ellie Leffler, all-division F Mikayla Seymour, all-division D Nicole Crammer, M Payton Klopp, M JaJa Gonzalez.

Outlook: The Mustangs will try to build off last year’s success and contend for a postseason berth.

Exeter

Coach: Milt Scholl, second season (also coached Antietam boys soccer team for five seasons).

PIAA classification: Class 4A.

Last season: 2-7-1 Berks I, 3-14-1.

Top players: All-division M Mackenzie Mentzer, F Chayse Flood, D Molly Giering, D Holly Skipper, M Juliana Minner.

Outlook: With a young team, the Eagles look to improve upon last year’s record.

Reading High

Coach: Kortney Rentschler, second season.

PIAA classification: Class 4A.

Last season: 0-10 Berks I, 3-14.

Top players: Emenda Blas Estrada, Julissa Gonzalez-Magana.

Outlook: The Red Knights will try to win their first game in league play since 2019.

Berks II

Twin Valley

Coach: Craig Hafer, second season.

PIAA classification: Class 3A.

Last season: 7-2-1 Berks II, 13-8-1; District 3 Class 3A fourth place .

Top player: All-Berks F Ashley Lavrich.

Outlook: The Raiders look to build off last season and return to the playoffs.

Fleetwood

Coach: Bill Lownes, fourth season.

PIAA classification: Class 3A.

Last season: 6-4 Berks II, 13-7-1; Berks semifinalist, District 3 Class 3A quarterfinalist.

Top players: All-Berks F Gi Gi Gonzalez, All-Berks D Ava Sallee, all-division Bridget Daczewitz.

Outlook: The Tigers look to return to the postseason.

Daniel Boone

Coach: Mark Reightneour, fifth season.

PIAA classification: Class 3A.

Last season: 5-5 Berks II, 6-11.

Top players: All-division M Anna Buckwalter, all-division M Maggie Holloway, all-division D Brook Spano, D Karina Davidheiser, D Sammy Whelan, GK Rece Golab, M Sophia Hogan.

Outlook: With a deep roster, the Blazers are poised to return to the county and district playoffs.

Conrad Weiser

Coach: Doug Miller, 30th season.

PIAA classification: Class 3A.

Last season: 2-5-3 Berks II, 4-9-4.

Top players: All-division D Emmerson Schoener, all-division MF Brielle Rudolph, MF Morgan Miller, F Mirabella Paff, GK Leah Elliotte.

Outlook: The Scouts look to improve upon last year’s record.

Berks III

Hamburg

Coach: Katelynn Frey, first season.

PIAA classification: Class 2A.

Last season: 7-4 Berks III, 8-10.

Top players: All-Berks F Jenna Piltz, all-division M Isabelle Wilkes, D Emily Zimmerman, GK Shelby Dougherty.

Outlook: With a wealth of returning talent, the Hawks are poised to return to the county playoffs and also qualify for the district playoffs for the first time since 2008.

Berks Catholic

Coach: Mark Pfeiffenberger, seventh season.

PIAA classification: Class 2A.

Last season: 9-2 Berks III, 11-10-1; District 3 Class 2A fourth place.

Top players: All-division Ally Devine, all-division Kelci Reinhart, all-division Sarah Gatz.

Outlook: The Saints look to return to the playoffs.

Schuylkill Valley

Coach: Jason Bagenstose, 19th season.

PIAA classification: Class 2A.

Last season: 3-7-1 Berks III, 6-10-1.

Top players: All-Berks GK Ava Kichline, all-division D Alexis Seymour, all-division D Kayley Weidner, all-division F Addison Becht, MF Camryn Miller, MF Emily Goetz, D Mackenzie Bachman, MF Abby Ruth.

Outlook: With an experienced roster, the Panthers look to be competitive within the county.

Muhlenberg

Wyomissing

Top players: All-Berks M Sophia Zeppos, All-Berks M Annie McCaffrey, All-Berks D Audrey Hurleman, all-division Dulce Lytle, all-division Mackey Lentz.

Outlook: With a wealth of returning talent, the Spartans are poised to repeat as county and district champions and contend for a state title.

Kutztown

Coach: Dan Stemko, eighth season.

PIAA classification: Class 2A.

Last season: 7 -4 -1 Berks IV, 11-6-1.

Top players: All-division Lauren Akers, all-division Kaley Nowrocki, all-division Sadie Berger, Taylor Greenawalt, Lilia Pizzelanti, Carter Diehl.

Outlook: The Cougars look to be competitive within the county.

Brandywine Heights

Coach: Craig Ronco, first season.

PIAA classification: Class 1A.

Last season: 6-5-1 Berks IV, 11-7-1; District 3 Class 1A quarterfinalist.

Outlook: The Bullets look to return to the postseason.

Tulpehocken

Coach: Paul Zerbe, 23rd season.

PIAA classification: Class 1A.

Last season: 5-6-1 Berks IV, 7-11-2; District 3 Class 1A quarterfinalist.
