In girls Ches-Mont tennis action on Monday West Chester Henderson swept Sun Valley 7-0, as the Warriors won 84 of 88 games played. Maddie Walsh, Leah Skomorucha and Ciara Kirby prevailed in singles. The team of Ella Tantorski and Delaney Heller won 6-1, 6-1 I the closest match of the afternoon at No. 2 doubles.

Girls Soccer

Perkiomen Valley 2, West Chester East 0 >> The visiting Vikings had a 10-3 edge in shots and notched a non-league shutout. Goaltender Savannah Holman registered eight saves for the home Vikings.

Volleyball

Unionville 3, Perkiomen Valley 0 >> The Longhorns swept the Vikings 25-21, 28-26, and 25-19. Unionville was led by Olivia Harper with 37 assists, Brianna Miller with 12 kills, Vivian Geiger with 10 kills and Ava Brenner with nine kills and three aces.

West Chester East 3, Harriton 0 >> Katie McPeak delivered 21 assists (and three aces) to power the Vikings past the Rams 25-17, 25-22, 25-9 in non-league action. Alexa Mork (11 kills, four aces), Sofia Keith (three kills), Annie Kerns (five kills, three aces) and Lauren Cuskey (five kills) also contributed for East.

Strath Haven 3, West Chester Rustin 0 >> The Knights fell to the Panthers 25-23, 25-20, 15-13 in non-conference play. Senior Jane Nelson led the way with 10 kills, freshman Jadyn Johnson added six digs and junior Victoria D-Ulisse chipped in 14 assists for Rustin.

College

Field Hockey

Macs picked fourth >> The Immaculata field hockey team was voted to finish fourth in the Atlantic East Conference preseason coaches’ poll. The Mighty Macs received 21 points overall in the poll. St. Mary’s (MD.) was voted first overall, earning 34 points and four first place votes. Cabrini, meanwhile, was voted second place with 32 points and two first place votes. Marywood rounded out the top three with 26 points. Gwynedd Mercy was voted fifth with 16 points, and Neumann and Manhattanville (NY) round out the poll finishing tied with nine votes each. The Mighty Macs will look to return to the Atlantic East Tournament in 2023, after advancing to the conference semifinals for the first time since 2010.
