In boys’ Ches-Mont boys’ golf action on Wednesday, Great Valley cruised past visiting Oxford 215-244 in a dual meet held at Chester Valley Golf Club. Owen Grimes paced the Patriots, and was the overall medalist, with a 3-over-par 38. Teammate Harry Traynor chipped in a 41. Sean Patrick led the way for the Hornets with a 40.

Unionville 184 Spring Ford 197 >> Michael Keller and Chuck Barrickman each fired 1-over-par 36s to lead the Longhorns to a key non-league victory at Kennett Square Golf & Country Club. Unionville boasted five players at 38 or under, including Johan Tuerff (37), Tre Lesperance (38) and Jax Puskar (37).

West Chester Rustin 189, Kennett 202 >> The Blue Demons’ junior Juan Garzaron notched a hole-in-one, but it wasn’t enough to propel Kennett past the Golden Knights. Senior Kasim Narinesingh-Smith led the Demons with a 2-under-par 33, but no other Kennett player was able to break 40. The Demons fall to 2-1 overall.

West Chester East 191, Downingtown East 210 >> Cameron Maun’s 36 was the low round of the day as the Vikings topped the Cougars in a match held at Honey Brook Golf Club. Thomas Baschoff (37) and Jonah Trueman (38) also contributed for West Chester East. Brayden Phillips had a 38 to lead Downingtown East.

Great Valley 204, Oxford 209 >> Depth helped the Patriots edge the Hornets. Elena Six shot a 48 and Catie Borger a 50 for Great Valley. Lexi Reinard was Oxford’s leader with a 49.
