Conestoga boys lacrosse team falls to Pennridge in district playback

The Conestoga High School boys’ lacrosse team lost to No. 3 seed Pennridge, 13-8, Thursday in the District 1 3A tournament playback game. The season ends for the 10th-seeded Pioneers, who held a 5-4 lead at halftime, while Pennridge earned a berth in the PIAA 3A state tournament.

Wade Beckstron scored four goals for Conestoga, and Pioneer goalie Mikey Johnson recorded 16 saves. Other Conestoga contributors included Brody Eaton (one goal, one assist), Clif Hawkins (three assists), Drew Merschel (one goal, one assist) and Chris Forgie (two goals).
