Cody Dill and Ryan Carroll drove in two runs each, but No. 4 seed Delco Christian ran out of steam in a 12-5 loss to Dock Mennonite in the District 1 Class A semifinals.

The Knights got within one at 5-4 in the top of the fifth, but top-seeded Dock replied with a five-spot in the bottom of the frame.

Sam Dixon doubled among two hits. Carroll also hit a double for the Knights.

In the PAISAA tournament:

Penn Charter 5, Haverford 2 >> A two-run triple from Liam Rowan was the big blow as the Quakers ended the Fords’ season in the quarterfinals. Three errors and four unearned runs didn’t help Haverford’s cause.

Haverford (19-8) led in the third inning behind a two-run double from Ryan Getz, but that’s all the Fords would get. The Quakers finally got to Frederick Jordan in the top of the sixth; he worked 5.1 innings with two hits and one walk allowed, striking out four. Penn Charter tacked on two in the seventh.
