Mercury roundup (March 23): Pfeiffer, Perkiomen Valley girls lacrosse edge North Penn


Perkiomen Valley 11, North Penn 10

Highlights: A five-goal outing from Leah Pfeiffer and a hat trick by Holli Nuss helped lift Perkiomen Valley over North Penn. Lauren McMahon had a pair of goals, an assist, two ground balls and four draw controls for the Vikings. Julia Foley tallied one assist, scooped two ground balls and had two draw controls. Giana Scaliti added a goal and two assists while Sydney McMonagle made eight draw controls.

Owen J. Roberts 13, Garnet Valley 1

Highlights: Gabbi Koury had a hat trick while Blakely Doyle, Colby Wasson, Kalli Mullen and Ava Clemson all scored two goals each to fuel Owen J. Roberts in a rout of Garnet Valley. Sierra Milano and Alexa Vogelman both found the back of the net once apiece for the Wildcats as well.

Wyomissing 11, Phoenixville 9

Highlights: Alexia Polyak put away six goals for Wyomissing in a win over Phoenixville. Audrey Hurleman scored twice while Kacey Maggs, Ashely Baker (one assist) and Mackey Lentz all found the beck of the net as well.

Jaime Michaud buried four goals and Erin Reedy had two for the Phantoms. Ava Siaton had one goal, one assist and a pair of ground balls. Bridget Kelly and Kira O’Donnell (one assist) scored once apiece and Audrey Burke tallied an assist.

Methacton 8, Upper Dublin 7

Highlights: Megan Sanelli (one assist) and Michelle Zhai (two assists) both scored hat tricks for Methacton in a win over Upper Dublin. Giada Catoia and Alexa Diezel both scored a goal apiece for the Warriors and Natalie Drake came up with 12 saves in net.

Daniel Boone 17, Pottstown 5

Highlights: McKenna Smith and Aayla Hofer each scored five goals to lead the Blazers (1-1) to a non-league win on Thursday night. Brielle Davis and Brynn McClune scored two goals each and Daishawnia Dean made 12 saves for the visiting Trojans.

Schuylkill Valley 17, Pottsgrove 6

Highlights: Reese Weddle scored six goals and Gianna Kaylor and Shelby Shane three apiece for the Panthers (2-0-1) in a non-league win on Thursday night. Taylor Fiorini led the visiting Falcons (1-3) with three goals and Lilly Guerette made 11 saves.

Spring-Ford 14, Exeter 2

Highlights: Riley Gancasz (4-for-5, 2 RBI, 2 runs), Ellie Jarrell (3-for-5, 2 RBI, 2 runs), Morgan Lester (3-for-5, RBI, 2 runs), Jess Fliszar (3-for-4, 4 RBI, 2 runs), Ava Bainbridge (2-for-4, 2 RBI, run), Kayla Naylor (2-for-3, RBI, run) and Addie Eross (2-for-4, 2 RBI, run) all had a multi-hit game for Spring-Ford in a rout of Exeter. Haley Schwenk and Marion Eagle plated both runs for the Eagles.
