It was a night to remember for Upper Darby’s Yassir Joyner, Haverford’s Googie Seidman and Radnor’s Jackson Hicke.
All three players joined the 1,000-point club Tuesday night while leading their respective teams to victory.
Joyner scored 14 points and went over the 1,000-point mark in the second quarter of Upper Darby’s 82-53 romp over Conestoga.
Joyner is just the second player in Royals program history to score 1,000 points. Nadir Myers paced UD with a game-high 24 points. Niymire Brown also scored 14 points. Shaun Cain added 12 and Khysir Slaughter pitched in with 10.
Seidman, meanwhile, went over the 1,000-point mark in the fourth quarter of Haverford’s 55-53 triumph over Garnet Valley in a vital game for their postseason hopes.
Seidman scored eight of his game-high 25 points in the fourth quarter to help the Fords hold off the Jaguars. Weiner added 12 points and Tommy Wright 10 for the Fords.
Logan McKee topped Garnet Valley with 19 points and Jake Sniras finished with 11.
Hicke scored 20 points as Radnor completed an undefeated regular season with a 68-48 victory over Strath Haven. Henry Pierce backed Hicke with 12 points and Jackson Gaffney 11.
Elsewhere in the Central League:
Harriton 69, Marple Newtown 46 >> Colin Goerlich tallied 20 points as the Rams rolled over the Tigers. Marquis Kubish added 17 points and Jadyn Gaskins 16.
Ryan Keating led Marple Newtown with 14 points.
In the Inter-Ac League:
Springside Chestnut Hill 69, Episcopal Academy 64 >> Keni Williams scored seven of his 13 points in the fourth quarter to help the Devils hold off the Churchmen. Caleb Alston pitched in with 10 points.
Kevin McCarthy tallied 10 of his game-high 25 points in the final period for EA.
Haverford 73, Germantown Academy 52 >> The Fords bolted to a 17-7 first-quarter lead and never looked back. Duke Cloran led the way with a game-high 24 points. Billy Rayer (14) and Luke Rasmussen (10) also reached double figures for Haverford School.
In a nonleague game Monday night:
MaST Charter 81, Delco Christian 76 >> Caleb Jameson scored 18 points but Delco Christian ran out of steam in double-overtime.
Beau Lyren scored 17 points, including five made 3-pointers. Khamai Orange and Josiah Gaines joined them in double figures with 14 points, and Cole Pruessner chipped in 10 for the Knights (11-10, 9-4 Bicentennial). The Knights trailed by nine at halftime but stormed back with an 18-7 advantage in the third.
Dean Grimaldi led all scorers with 32 points, including a 15-for-16 performance at the line. MaST was 27-for-32 at the stripe.
