New Hope-Solebury 52, Upper Moreland 43: New Hope opened up the game with a 19-6 spurt and held on for the win on Tuesday night, forcing a tie atop the SOL Freedom. Upper Moreland rallied behind 14 points each from Holly Gohl and Marie Meyers, but even a 17-10 fourth-quarter run was not enough.
Calvary Baptist 33, The Christian Academy 30: Genesis Olaleye scored on a putback with under a minute to go and Calvary rallied for its 14th straight victory. Senior Aubryn Ridge led the scoring with 15 points, followed by Olaleye with 10 and Grace Leader with 6.
“It was a defensive battle from the start,” Calvary coach Timothy Hampton said. “The Christian Academy had a very strong down low presence, so we were really trying to have them shoot from the outside. Offensively, we couldn’t get anything going but our defense really stepped up and kept us in it.”
Pope John Paul II 33, Pottsgrove 22: The Golden Panthers held Pottsgrove to six second-half points and rallied for the win on Tuesday night. It was a balanced effort for PJP II with Sophia Benincasa, Brooke Albeck and Nadia Platt each scoring 9 points.
Souderton 39, Central Bucks West 24: Casey Harter scored 14 points, 8 rebounds and 5 steals as the Indians closed out the regular season in style on Tuesday night. Teya McConnaha added 12 points and 7 rebounds for Souderton (19-3).
Plymouth Whitemarsh 68, Wissahickon 25: Abby Sharpe led the way on Senior Night with 28 points. Erin Daley followed suit with 20 for PW.
Abington 74, Quakertown 42: Abril Bowser scored 17 points, while Cire Worley added 16 for the Ghosts (18-4) on Tuesday night.
Gwynedd Mercy Academy 53, Faith Christian 34: GMA finished the regular season with a nonconference win on Tuesday night. Bailey Balkir paced the Monarchs with 13 points, while Hannah Griffin added 11.
Boys basketball
Pennridge 55, Central Bucks South 52: After falling behind 18-10 after one quarter, the Rams (15-7, 10-6) rallied for the SOL Colonial win on Tuesday night. Matt Campione led the way for Pennridge with 24 points, including 7-of-9 from the free-throw line. Tyler Meinel scored 22 points to pace South.
Souderton 58, Central Bucks West 32: The Indians finished strong on Tuesday night behind 16 points from Aiden Maue. James Blair added 15 points for Souderton, while Jared Zimmerman scored 10.
Plymouth Whitemarsh 62, Wissahickon 59: PW couldn’t shake the Trojans until the end in an SOL Liberty battle on Tuesday night. Chase Coleman and Qudire Bennett paced PW with 19 points apiece. Wiss was led by Jaylon Williams with 27 points, while Dom Vacchiano added 13 and Earl Stout 10.
Wrestling
Bristol 42, Academy of the New Church 36: The Lions won six matches by fall, but were forced to forfeit five matches on Tuesday. Winning by fall for the Lions were Dylan Trotman, Chase Thygeson, Luke Hyland, Trent Layton, Leopold Kline and Coleman Boyesen.
