
The Conestoga High School girls basketball team defeated Harriton, 67-30, Tuesday. The Pioneers were led by Ryann Jennings (19 points, seven rebounds), Bella Valencia (10 points, seven rebounds, five steals), Ruth Lanouette (nine points) and Katrina Valencia (six points, five assists).
Coatesville 35, West Chester East 24 >> The Raiders were led by Dejah Morris (12 points) and Serenity Burgess (10 points) in this victory. Mikayla Kushner led the Vikings with six points.
Kennett 47, Tome 29 >> In this Monday contest, the Blue Demons travelled to North East, Md. for this victory, led by junior captain Mia Matthews (12 points) and senor captain Makayla Kelly (11 points). Senior captain Lili Lusvardi and sophomore Bianca Comanda combined for 20 rebounds. Junior Greta Burns (nine points) and sophomore Quinn Simmons (nine points) combined for six of Kennett’s 10 treys. The Blue Demons also got strong defensive performances from freshman Maeve Wells, freshman Maura Keitch and sophomore Reese Hills.
Boys’ basketball
West Chester Henderson 68, Downingtown East 51 >> The Warriors had three players scoring in double figures — Nyle Ralph-Beyer (19 points), Connor Fleet (19 points) and Kmari Smith (12 points). Connor Shanahan led the Cougars with 20 points.
Girls swimming
West Chester East 94, West Chester Rustin 90 >> Winners of individual events for the Vikings included Taiylor Tegler (100 breast), Sam Heiland (100 back and 100 free) and Grace Herlihy (50 free). Individual first-place finishers for the Golden Knights included Lily Turco (200 free and 500 free), Flynn Truskett (200 IM and 100 fly), Ellie Smith (1-meter diving).
Boys swimming
West Chester East 122, West Chester Rustin 54 >> Fiorst-place finishers in individual events for the Vikings included Michael Liebsch (100 back and 100 fly), Gavin Heffernan (200 free and 500 free), Nate Schwarz (100 free), Brendan Ryan (1-meter diving) and Michael Murphy (50 free). AJ Chapman won the 200 IM and 100 breast for Rustin.
