Girls Basketball

Lansdale Catholic 75, Archbishop Ryan 29 >> Gabby Casey led Lansdale Catholic with 22 points as the Crusaders won their seventh in a row Thursday night to stay unbeaten in the Philadelphia Catholic League.

Nadia Yemola and Jaida Helm each scored 14 points while Sanyiah Littlejohn finished with 13 points for LC (10-1, 4-0 PCL). Olivia Boccella chipped in eight points.

Methacton 63, Upper Merion 20 >> Cassidy Kropp outscored Upper Merion by herself, posting 23 points along with eight rebounds and five steals as Methacton rolled to a PAC victory.

Mairi Smith added 10 points, nine rebounds and five blocks for the Warriors (11-5, 7-2 PAC, 4-2 PAC Liberty), who led 25-3 after the first quarter.

Kennedy Coles scored 10 points to the Vikings (6-9, 4-5 PAC, 4-2 PAC Frontier).

Calvary Baptist 56, Valley Forge Baptist 31 >> Aubryn Ridge scored 20 points while Genesis Olaleye had a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds as Calvary Baptist earned a seventh straight win. The Warriors (9-2, 4-0 ACCAC) finished with 16 steals.

Boys Basketball

Upper Merion 70, Methacton 53 >> Devon Nelson collected 14 of his game-high 20 points in the second half as Upper Merion outscored Methacton 41-21 after the break to pull away for its fourth straight victory.

Colin Hirshorn added 12 points for the Vikings (8-7, 6-3 PAC, 4-2 PAC Frontier) who trailed 32-29 at halftime before taking the third quarter 23-13. Nicholai Smiley and Madison Tatom each had 11 points for UM.

Alex Hermann scored 11 of his team-best 17 points in the first quarter for Methacton (12-6, 6-3 PAC, 4-2 PAC Liberty) while Matt Christian totaled 15 points.

Norristown 70, Phoenixville 57 >> Myon Kirlew scored 26 points and Jayden Byrd added 22 in a PAC crossover win Thursday.

Kirlew had 19 of his points in the first half and Byrd had 17 to help build a 47-30 lead after 16 minutes. Jonathan Brooks added 17 points for the Eagles (9-8, 7-2 PAC, 4-2 PAC Liberty).

North Penn 82, Truman 45 >> North Penn (12-4, 8-3 SOL Colonial) scored a season high as the Knights extended their win streak to seven.

Boys Swimming

Methacton 87, Pope John Paul II 68 >> Methacton got two wins from Eric Zang and Christopher Groff as the Warriors beat Pope John Paul II in the PAC dual meet.

Zang took first in the 200 individual medley (2:18.57) and 100 back (1:08.87) while Groff won the 50 free (22.45) and 100 free (49.11). Zang and Groff also swam on Methacton’s first-place 200 free relay (1:36.40).

The Golden Panthers’ Henry Phillips won both the 100 fly (56.24) and 500 free (5:00.35).

Girls Swimming

Methacton 96, Pope John Paul II 71 >> Methacton’s Lucy Michel and Truly Sommer both earned a pair of first-place finishes as the Warriors won the PAC dual meet.

Michel won the 100 free (59.51) and 200 free (2:12.61) and also swam on Methacton’s first-place 200 free relay (1:52.59). Sommer won the 200 individual medley (2:22.82) and 500 free (5:36.24) and was the Warriors’ winning 200 medley relay (2:02.30).

Boys Bowling

Upper Moreland 3, North Penn 1 >> Upper Moreland’s Ryan Little rolled a 587 series that included a 236 game. North Penn’s Chase Leckner and Kevin Tagger finished with series of 559 and 552, respectively. The Knights got their top games from Leckner (224), Ryan Baker (219) and Taggert (209).

Girls Bowling

Upper Moreland 4, North Penn 0 >> Sarah Olszewski led Upper Moreland in its sweep, posting a 171 games in finishing with a 407 series. Megan Loughery had a 145 in bowling a 360 series for North Penn.
