Field hockey
Wissahickon 4, Quakertown 1: Riley Ball scored two goals and added an assist as the Trojans picked up the SOL Liberty win on Wednesday. Ella Hummel added a goal and an assist, while Kendall Crowley also scored. Alex Bevan-Xenelis scored for Quakertown. Meredith Walsh and Ava Fell combined on five saves in net for Wiss. Julie Pizzi made 14 saves for Quakertown.

Springfield Twp. 4, Upper Moreland 0: Norah Conlin scored two goals as the Spartans picked up the SOL Freedom win on Wednesday. Jen Rex and Gracie Bucholz also scored for Springfield. Emma Yoder, Charlotte Drapkin and Gabi Maletta were credited with assists. Kennedy Braddock made one save in net for Springfield.

Upper Merion 2, Pope John Paul II 1: Rylie McGrath scored the game-winner off a corner with 1:10 left as the Vikings escaped on Tuesday with the PAC Frontier win. Becca Shuler was credited with the assist. Cate Mink started the scoring with 10:54 left in the contest for PJP. Ashley Evitts answered for Upper Merion a little over a minute later.

Archbishop Carroll 9, Conwell-Egan 0: Carroll improved to 6-1 in the Catholic League and 10-6 overall with a 9-0 win over Egan on Wednesday. Carroll was led by Sienna Golden’s five goals and two assists. Cate McConaghy added two goals, while Meg Sheridan and Bridget Grazel had one goal apiece. Kate O’Neill got the win in net with two saves. Egan’s goalie, Liv Belsho stopped 17 Carroll shots.

Girls soccer
Methacton 9, Norristown 0: Nine different players scored as the Warriors won big in PAC Liberty action on Wednesday. Scoring for Methacton were Aubrey Beaugard, Alina Miao, Katie Rozinsky, Laiken Hoy, Melissa Lopez, Mia Chan, Anna Rees, Bella Coppola and Michelle Zhai. Riley McDonald made four saves for the Warriors (5-10-2).

Girls volleyball
Upper Merion 3, Owen J. Roberts 0: The Vikings (15-3) coasted to the PAC Frontier win on Wednesday night by scores of 25-16, 25-21 and 25-18. Sophia Scheikert and Yalerie Acevado led the way with 14 and 13 kills respectively. Caitlyn Daywalt added 24 assists, while Julia Giammarco had 10 service points (5 aces) and eight digs.

Methacton 3, Boyertown 1: Junior outside hitter Kayla Ginther led the way with 15 kills and eight aces as the Warriors won in four sets (25-12, 25-14, 22-25 and 25-21) in PAC Liberty action on Wednesday. Also standing out for Methacton (14-3, 10-3) were senior outside hitter Mandy Baldwin (15 kills, 12 digs) and junior Rachel Pettine (40 assists, two aces).
