Methacton 2, Exeter 1 OT: Cole Larcinese set up Braden Kavanagh’s game-winner with three minutes left in overtime to give the Warriors a win in their opener.

Phoenixville 3, Great Valley 1: Phoenixville goals were scored by Evan DesMarais (2) and Nate Stewart in season-opening win Friday. Stewart also had an assist, as did Efe Ulcay. Jason O’Neill made 4 saves for the Phantoms.

Brandywine Heights 3, Upper Perkiomen 2: The Bullets rallied with three goals in the final 15 minutes, including the game-winner with 13 seconds in regulation, to knock off Upper Perk.

Zach Fratnik scored twice for BH and Nathan Winkler also tallied.

Upper Perk got goals from Matthew Fisher and Logan Watkins while Ethan Barr and Jimmy Friedman were credited with assists.

Girls Soccer

Perkiomen Valley 2, Kennett 1: Giavanna Marciano scored on a rebound of a shot by Rain Boyd for the game-winner early in the second half of PV’s season-opening non-league win Friday.
Emma Stankunas’ penalty kick in the first half, converted after Mo O’Donnell was taken down in the box, opened the scoring for PV. Evvy Hackley made it interesting but PV save out the win over the final 26:39.

Spring-Ford 2, Dallas 1: Lena Ackerman converted a penalty kick with 23 seconds left in regulation to give Spring-Ford a 2-1 win over visiting Dallas Area in the inaugural Lady Rams Kickoff Classic.

The Rams jumped out to a 1-0 lead minutes into the game when Summer Smith slipped the ball past the Mountaineer goalkeeper, but Dallas answered midway through the half when Caelan Gallagher broke loose for the breakaway to make it 1-1.

Erika Eickhoff picked up the win in goal for Spring-Ford, needing to register just three saves.
Spring-Ford outshot Dallas on the night 10-6.

Methacton 1, Downingtown East 1: Junior Aubrey Beaugard scored the tying goal in the 61st minute on a long range shot to the far post, assisted by senior Molly Rowland, to earn Methacton a draw at Spring-Ford’s Lady Rams Kickoff Classic.

Goalkeeper Mairi Smith made  13 saves to help earn the draw. Downingtown keeper Lillian Matte made 4 saves.

Shots at goal were 15-7 in favor of Downingtown.

Field Hockey

Methacton 8, Lower Merion 0: Methacton put the pedal down in the second half to defeat Lower Merion in its season debut.
Ceci Rehak had two goals for balanced Methacton. Also tallying for the Warriors were: Avery Schwartz (1G,1A), Lily DeWan (1G,1A), Carmela Maro (1G), Elena Weychert (1G), Elise DeWan (1G), Renee Blake (1G), Lea DeWan (2A), Ally Mitchell (1A)

Girls volleyball

Pottsgrove 3, Interboro 0 >> The Falcons swept Interboro 25-22, 25-9, 25-13 in their season opener Friday. Leading the team effort with 10 service points was senior Chelsea Wasdick. Lizzie McAllister had nine service points, six of them aces. Jade Kazmierczak contributed eight service points. Avery Gleason lead the team in digs with four and contributed 2 kills and 3 big blocks. Marisa Leamy had three kills.
