Andrew Goldt scored seven times, and Garnet Valley’s defense pitched a second-half shutout in running away from Central Bucks East, 14-5, Thursday, in the District 1 Class 3A boys lacrosse fifth-place game.
Max Busenkell added two goals and two assists. Luke Mingioni scored twice to go with an assist and Sam DiTrolio went 13-for-20 on draws. Drew Keaveney made eight saves for GV (16-6).
In the District 1 Class 3A third-place game:
Springfield 8, Unionville 2 >> Tyler Gougler had a goal and three assists, Sean Donaldson scored twice and Springfield’s defense did the rest to earn the third seed.
Ethan Johnson made five saves. Colin Hannigan won 11 of 14 faceoffs for the Cougars (16-6).
Girls Lacrosse
Ava Kane tallied a hat trick to lead Garnet Valley to an 8-6 win over Radnor in the District 1 Class 3A girls lacrosse third-place game.
Kane also controlled five draws. Mia Raucci scored twice and Mak Butler made five saves for the Jaguars (15-7).
