Pennridge 7, CR South 4 >> Joey Calabretti went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs as the Rams (2-5) of Pennridge picked up the win on Tuesday. Ryan Hass added a double and an RBI, while Ryan DeHaven and Matt Atchley also picked up RBIs for Pennridge.

Bensalem 3, North Penn 2 >> The Knights (3-4) couldn’t hold a 1-run lead in the 7th inning and took the loss on Tuesday. The Knights had five hits from five different players with Mario Sgro and Brian Neal picking up RBIs. Dylan Brown went six-plus innings, giving up three runs on just three hits and striking out seven.

Wissahickon 10, Cheltenham 0 (6) >> Nate DeVincent and Aidan DeFeo both hit inside-the-park-home runs as Wissahickon won for the fourth time in its last five games.

DeVincent also tripled in finishing 2-for-2 with three RBI and a run scored while on the mound struck out 12 in pitching a two-hit shutout for the Trojans (5-5, 4-3 SOL Liberty).

DeFeo collected two RBIs while Jack O’Donnell and Josh Palutis both had two runs scored.

Wissahickon scored its first four runs in the top of the first, the last three coming on DeVincent’s homer. DeFeo led off the fifth with his home run for a 5-0 lead.

Central Bucks West 4, Council Rock North 3 >> Central Bucks West did not record a hit but still found a way to win the SOL crossover, scoring runs on errors and wild pitches to edge host Council Rock North.

Bucks starting pitcher Julio Ermigiotti earned the victory, allowing two runs – one earned – on six hits in five innings. He walked one, hit one batter and struck out three. Max Slaymaker threw two innings for the save, giving up one run – earned – on three hits, walked one, hit one batter and had one strikeout.

West (7-3, 5-1 SOL Colonial), which has won three straight, took a 3-0 lead with three runs in the top of the third – the first two on errors before Kevin Bukowski came home on a wild pitch.

CR North (8-2, 6-2 SOL Freedom) scored twice in the fourth but the Bucks answered with a run in the fifth as a wild pitch allowed Bill Zentmayer to score. A Will Scibona RBI sac fly had the Indians within 4-3 in the sixth. North loaded the bases with two outs but Slaymaker got out of a jam with a lineout to the shortstop.

Jadon Tang was 3-for-4 with a double for Council Rock North. Luke Mullen went 2-for-3 while Shane Anhalt was 2-for-4 with a run. Starting pitcher Collin Williams struck out 12 in five innings, giving up four unearned runs on no hits and four walks.

Abington 19, Lower Moreland 2 (3) >>Luke Sydlowski’s grand slam capped Abington’s nine-run top of the third inning as the Galloping Ghosts cruised to a three-inning SOL crossover win.

Sydlowski had five RBIs and four runs scored while Chase Goodson also collected five RBIs – three on a bases-loaded triple that made it 4-0 in the first – and went 2-for-3 with two runs scored as Abington earned its fourth straight win.

Anthony Ehly was 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored, Colin Hamsher had two RBIs while Brendan Cabry had two RBIs and a run scored. Matt Worek scored three times with Jared Biletz scoring twice.

A Donato Incollingo RBI ground out and Mason Tammaro RBI single in the bottom of the first had Lower Moreland (3-7, 2-6 SOL Freedom) down 4-2 but Abington responded with six in the second then its nine-spot in the third.

Plymouth Whitemarsh 12, William Tennent 1 (5) >> Lincoln Sharpe and Jesse Jaconski both hit home runs as Plymouth Whitemarsh rolled to a five-inning SOL crossover victory for its sixth win in a row.

Sharpe, who went 2-for-2 with four RBIs and two runs scored, connected on a two-run home run in the bottom of the third that made it 6-1. Jaconski’s two-run shot in the fourth had the Colonials up 8-1.

Michael Miller went 2-for-3 with two RBIs while Colin Brady was 2-for-2 with an RBI and a run scored for PW (9-3, 6-3 SOL Liberty), which plated two runs in each of the first three frames before scoring six in the fourth.

Ray Tomassetti finished 2-for-3 with a run scored while Luke Gartland scored two runs.

William Tennent (2-7, 2-6 SOL Freedom) took a 1-0 lead on Julia Ybarra’s RBI single in the top of the first.

Softball
North Penn 11, Bensalem 0 (5 innings) >> Julia Shearer struck out the first eight batters she faced and posted her third straight shutout, allowing three hits and striking out 15 as North Penn rolled to an SOL crossover victory.

Maddy Gronback was 3-for-3 with four RBIs for the Knights (11-0, 8-0 SOL Colonial, who scored three runs in the third then four runs in both the second and third.

Annabelle Smink had two RBIs, Sarah Sabocsik had three runs scored while Gianna Cimino and Sophia Collins each scored twice. North Penn collected seven hits and nine walks – Shearer and Sabocsik both drawing three walks.

Neshaminy 5, Souderton 4 (10) >> Laura Chorba’s RBI fielder’s choice in the bottom of the 10th gave Neshaminy a walk-off victory and handed Souderton its third straight defeat.

Souderton (8-4, 5-4 SOL Colonial) took a 4-3 lead in the top of the ninth as Kayley York led off with a double then scored on a Riley York RBI single. But Jill Thomas’ two-out RBI triple pulled Neshaminy even in the bottom of the inning.

Meryn Bellacima was 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored while Lindsey Gorka went 2-for-5 with a run scored for Neshaminy (8-3, 6-3 SOL Patriot), which led 3-0 after plating two runs in the first and another in the second. Souderton tied the game with three runs in the fifth.

Abington 12, Springfield (Montco) 0 >> Aneesa Rohrer and Lauren Everitt each had three hits while Sam Wenhold struck out nine in pitching a three-hit shutout as Abington scored four runs in both the sixth and seventh to pull away for an SOL crossover win.

Sydney Steiner collected four RBIs – three on a two-out, bases-loaded double in the sixth that made it 8-0 – and finished 2-for-5 for the Galloping Ghosts (5-4, 4-4 SOL Liberty). Rohrer was 3-for-4 with an RBI and three runs scored while Everitt went 3-for-4 with two RBIs.

Leanna Schenk tripled and scored twice for Abington, which led 4-0 after a run in the top of the first and three in the third. Hailey Hernandez added two RBIs.

Archbishop Wood 5, Conwell-Egan 4 >> The Vikings recorded the PCL win on Tuesday in eight innings courtesy of Gianna Anzideo. Winning pitcher Dakota Fanelli scattered 10 hits and four runs with seven strikeouts. Abby Windish led the offense with a double and two runs scored, while Maggie Devlin added a pair of doubles. Anzideo finished with two RBIs, including a double.

Boys Lacrosse
North Penn 12, Pennridge 8 >> The Knights (5-6, 2-2) took a 7-4 lead into the half and coasted to the SOL National win on Tuesday. Caleb Moister scored four goals to lead the Knights, while Connor Toussaint added two goals and one assist. Also standing out for North Penn were Lars Homan (three goals, one assist), Caiden Myers (one goal), Declan Lanier (one goal), Will Morrow (one goal, one assist) and Dom Zaffino (one assist). Ryan Carickhoff paced Pennridge with two goals and three assists, while Matt Kriney also scored three goals.

Pope John Paul II 16, Phoenixville 6 >> Luke Sykes led the Panthers (5-4) with six goals and two assists, while Connor Gucwa added three goals and three assists on Tuesday. Ian Young added a a hat trick of his own for PJP II, while Sean Fallon made 12 saves in net.

Methacton 7, Upper Merion 6 >> Casey Lamey scored two goals and handed out two assists as the Warriors (9-4) rallied for the PAC win on Tuesday. Kevin Roseland also added two goals for Methacton, while Justin Besz and Collin McCormick also scored for Methacton. Rocco Lindelow added 13 saves in net.

Upper Moreland 10, Plymouth Whitemarsh 6 >> The Colonials (2-4, 1-3) dropped the SOL American contest on Tuesday. Justin Bainbridge and CJ Petrakis led the way for PW with two goals apiece, while Luke Wendler, Luke Weikel and Luke LaViola also scored goals.

Souderton 16, Council Rock South 10 >> Jamison McDvitt scored six goals and added one assist as the Indians (7-2, 4-1) rallied for the SOL National win on Tuesday. John Martin-Vince and Tyson Bui each added three goals apiece for Souderton, while also scoring goals were Seth Grossman, Ty Quintois, Shawn Martin and Gavin Landis.

Girls Lacrosse
Mount St. Joseph 17, Merion Mercy 11 >> The Mount (8-2) took a 14-4 lead into the half and held on for the win on Tuesday. Lauren Maher and Devin Loome led the offense with four goals apiece, while Campbel Donovan added two goals and one assist. Also scoring for The Magic were Kiersten Pumilia, Ava Rossi, Amelia Clair and Maggie Rezza.

Boys Volleyball
Dock Mennonite 3, Unionville 0 >> The Pioneers (9-1) picked up the win by scores of 25-14, 25-22 and 25-17. Ryan Good and Trey Leatherman led the way with solid serving. Overall, Dock showed a strong three-game win with 50 kills, nine aces, two stuffed block and 39 digs.

Souderton 3, Central Bucks East 0 >> The Indians (6-7, 6-3) rallied for a 25-10, 25-20 and 25-15 SOL American win on Tuesday. Nate Brown led the way with 14 kills, JC Peacock added eight kills and Ethan Frattarelli added four digs and three aces. Also standing out for Souderton were Jeremy Garboso (four digs), Alec Kreiser (four digs), Kavailya Bhatt (26 assists, three kills), Tobie Lias (1 kill, 2 digs), Jake Halteman (two kills) and Aidan Aldredge (1 kill).

Pennridge 3, Central Bucks South 0 >> The Rams (8-1) coasted to the SOL American win on Tuesday by scores of 25-16, 25-15 and 25-15. Riley Kodidek led the way with 20 assists, four kills and four aces, while Tyler Johnson added five kills and two aces. Also standing out for Pennridge were Nick Smith (four kills, two blocks), Thomas McKinney (six kills, seen digs), Jude Rotondo (four kills, three aces), Jason McCreary (three kills), Aaron Ladd (two kills), Bryce Ammon (three kills) and Alex Derk (seven digs).

Boys Tennis
Upper Dublin 7, Abington 0 >> The Cards (5-2) did not drop a set in picking up the SOL Liberty win on Monday. Scott Schlackman stepped up at No. 1 singles with a 6-2, 6-0 win over Julio Martin-Navas.

District 1-3A singles >> The bracket is out with play beginning Friday at the Springfield YMCA and is littered with local players. Upper Dublin’s Scott Schlackman drew No. 8 seed Ariston Fonseca of Radnor in the first round, while PW’s James Fassbender got No. 9 seed Abhiraj Srivastava of DT East. Methacton frosh Dylan Wen will see unseeded Krish Mendatta of Great Valley, while Upper Merion frosh Josiah Kotright will see No. 7 seed Rohan Rao of Conestoga, also a freshman. Central Bucks West’s No. 4 seed senior Alex Myron got a first-round bye and will face the winner of Wen/Mendatta. Play starts at 7:30 a.m. with the second-round beginning at 10:30.
