Wissahickon 2, Plymouth Whitemarsh 0 >> Danielle Ciliberto threw a complete game, four-hit shutout to lead the Trojans to an SOL Liberty win Wednesday.

Over seven innings Ciliberto stuck out 10 batters to no walks.

Molly Moore threw a complete game for PW, striking out eight batters to two walks. She allowed two runs, both unearned, on five hits.

Archbishop Wood 7, Gwynedd Mercy Academy 2 >> Dakota Fanelli struck out nine batters in a complete game win for the Vikings Wednesday. She allowed two earned runs on seven hits.

Parker Kraus hit a home run while Abby Windish went 4-for-5 and Maura Yoos went 3-for-5.

Upper Merion 13, Phoenixville 3 >> Molly Guilland went 2-for-4 with three RBIs in the Vikings five-inning PAC Frontier win Wednesday.

JoEllen Johnson added two RBIs and three runs scored while Ava Didonato struck out five batters and allowed three hits in the circle.

Souderton 5, Central Bucks West 3 (8 innings) >> Chloe Dryden hit a three-run home run in the top o the seventh to pull Central Bucks West even 3-3 but in the eighth Souderton’s Kayley York belted a two-run walk-off homer to give the Indians the SOL Colonial win.

York finished with three RBIs, putting Souderton (6-1, 3-1 division) up 1-0 with an RBI sacrifice fly in the first. Lily Ponce led off the bottom of the fifth with a homer while Riley York hit a solo home run in the sixth.

West’s Avery Rubenstein began the seventh with a walk, Sienna Lawsen followed with a single and on the next at-bat Dryden hit a three-run shot to tie the game. Cameron Nadolski started Souderton’s half of the eighth with a single and after a fly out York connected on her walk-off blast.

Souderton starting pitcher Lindsey Detwiler struck out 14 in 6 1/3 innings. She gave up three runs – all earned on hits and two walks. McKenna Schroding did not allow a hit or walk and struck out three in 1 2/3 innings to pick up the win.

Emily Anton went 2-for-4 for the Bucks (2-4, 1-4). Lawsen pitched 7.1 innings in taking the loss for the Bucks, giving up five runs – four earned – on four hits, walked two and struck out seven.

North Penn 12, Central Bucks East 2 (5) >> Central Bucks East scored a run in the top of the third to pull within 3-2 but North Penn answered with five in the bottom of the inning then added four more in the third and rolled to a five-inning SOL Colonial victory.

Julia Shearer was 2-for-3 with a double, RBI and a run scored while also striking out eight as she gave up two runs – one earned – on seven hits, two walks and one hit batter in a complete-game effort for the Knights (7-0, 5-0).

Sophia Collins had a two-RBI triple in the first while Annabelle Smink and Brie Wilmot both collected two RBIs.

In the bottom of the second, a Shearer RBI double made it 4-2 while Smink hit an RBI single two batters later. Wilmot connected on a two-RBI double the next at-bat then scored for an 8-2 lead as Gianna Cimino reached on an error.

Quakertown 5, Abington 1 >> Abingotn’s Natalie Broskley was 2-for-3 and drove in the Galloping Ghosts’ lone run of the SOL Liberty contest with an RBI single in the sixth.

Quakertown (4-0, 3-0 division) scored the game’s fifth five runs, the Panthers plate a run in the first, two in the third and one in the fourth. Abington (2-3, 1-3) has lost its last three

Baseball

Plymouth Whitemarsh 9, Wissahickon 1 >> Alex Wilkie-Viscio threw a complete game and knocked in two runs in the Colonials SOL Liberty win Wednesday.

Wilkie-Viscio allowed one run and struck out four batters to no walks in a 74-pitch effort.

Luke Gartland and Jesse Jaconski each added two RBIs for PW.

Souderton 14, Central Bucks West 5 >> Souderton scored 11 runs in the top of the third inning to break open an SOL Colonial win Wednesday.

Ethan Warner had three RBIs while Shanley Wall and Joey Crecca each knocked in two.

Central Bucks South 10, Pennridge 3 >> Eric Damico gave Central Bucks South a 3-1 lead with a three-run home run in the bottom of the third while Colin Mitchell led off with a homer as the Titans scored five more in the fourth and went on to earn their first win of the season.

Pennridge’s Aiden Fretz was 2-for-3 with a two-run home run in the sixth and three RBIs. Joey Calabretti went 2-for-4 with a double while both Matt Atchley and Jaden Morgan were 2-for-4 with a run scored for the Rams (3-2, 1-2 SOL Colonial).

Mitchell finished 2-for-3 with an RBI and two runs for South (1-4, 1-3 SOL Colonial).

Central Bucks East 4, North Penn 2 >> Chase Harlan collected three RBIs – the first two on his two-run home run for a 3-0 Central Bucks East lead in the bottom of the second – as the Patriots held off North Penn for an SOL Colonial win.

The Knights (3-2, 1-2 division) scored both of their runs in the top of the second, Jack Picozzi’s RBI double pulling NP to within 3-2.

Harlen gave East (2-2, 1-2) an insurance run with an RBI sacrifice fly in the bottom of the sixth.

Archbishop Wood 8, St.Joseph’s Prep 3 >> Archbishop Wood’s Patrick McKinney was  2-for-3 with a double, home run, three RBIs and two runs scored as the Vikings used a four-run bottom of the sixth to hold off visiting St. Joseph’s Prep.

Michael Trommer was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and also pitched six innings to earn the win for Wood (6-1, 4-0 PCL), giving up three runs – on earned – on six hits. He walked one and struck out 10.

Aiden Myers went 2-for-4 with a run, Sean Slowinski hit a two-RBI double in the third and Joey Gale scored two runs.

McKinney hit a solo homer in the first with the Vikings taking a 4-0 lead with three runs in the fifth.

Prep plated three in the top of the fifth to cut the margin to 4-3. But in the bottom of the inning, McKinney had a two-RBI double with Trommer following with an RBI single to make it 7-3. A Richie Bonino two-out, bases-loaded walk put Wood up five.

Joseph McGinnis was 2-for-2 while Jude Finzio went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored for St. Joseph’s Prep. Marshall Grandizio had two RBIs.

Neumann-Goretti 6, La Salle 1 >> Neumann-Goretti jumped to an early lead with three runs in the top of the first while La Salle was held scoreless until the sixth as the Explorers fell in the PCL contest.

Tahir Parker was 2-for-3 with an RBI for La Salle (3-4, 1-2 league).

Sal Laimo went 2-for-4 with a run scored for the Saints (3-0 PCL). Joey Brasky had two RBIs while Yariel Rodriguez scored twice.

Boys Lacrosse

Lansdale Catholic 16, Roman Catholic 2 >> Connor Mann scored five goals and added an assist in the Crusaders PCL win Wednesday.

Pat McKeever added four goals and two assists. Dan Curran won 15-of-17 faceoffs and Jack Kennedy made four saves.

La Salle 12, St. Joseph’s Prep 2 >> Andrew Kelly scored two goals and added three assists in the Explorers win over their PCL rival Wednesday afternoon.

Charlie Huntley, Jack Pilling, Paul Van Blasteelar and Frank Fix each added two goals while Matt Nelson made four saves in goal. Stevie Davis won 10-of-14 faceoffs for La Salle.

Archbishop Wood 22, Cardinal O’Hara 7 >> The Vikings picked up their first win of the season with a comfortable victory over PCL rival O’Hara.

Girls Lacrosse

Plymouth Whitemarsh 15, Quakertown 4 >> Brianna Austin and Meghan Wendler each had six goals and one assist in the Colonials SOL American win Wednesday.

Upper Dublin 17, Cape Henry 6 >> Aditi Foster scored seven goals to lead the Cardinals to a win in Virginia Beach Wednesday.

Tess Reardon and Paige Dinkel each added three goals for Upper Dublin.

Souderton 17, Bensalem 5 >> Lauren Hallman scored six goals to lead Souderton to an SOL National win Wednesday.

Reiley Knize added five goals and Tatum Andrews had two goals and an assist. Tegan Farina made three saves in goal.

Boys Tennis

Spring-Ford 7, Pope John Paul II 0 >> The Golden Panthers were swept by the Rams in PAC play Wednesday.

Aiden McCord put up a strong performance in third singles for PJP, losing to SF’s Henry Damiani 2-6, 5-7.
