Pottsgrove sees 3 announce college destinations

Three Pottsgrove student-athletes recently announced their college commitments. Sydney Wasdick (Girls Lacrosse, West Chester), Sydney Schwanbeck (Beach Volleyball, Coastal Carolina) and Yasir Gardner-Sizer (Baseball, Bucknell) and their friends and families, pictured below, took part in the ceremony at the school.

Sydney Wasdick, Girls Lacrosse, West Chester

Pottsgrove senior girls lacrosse player Sydney Wasdick, center, will continue her academic and athletic careers at West Chester University, where she will major in business. Wasdick is a two-time first team All-PAC Frontier selection, a first team Mercury All-Area selection and a 100-goal scorer. Sydney Schwanbeck, Beach Volleyball, Coastal Carolina

Pottsgrove senior girls volleyball captain Sydney Schwanbeck will continue her academic and athletic career for the Coastal Carolina University beach volleyball team, where she will major in marine science. Yasir Gardner-Sizer, Baseball, Bucknell

Pottsgrove senior baseball player Yasir Gardner-Sizer will continue his academic and athletic careers at Bucknell University. Gardner-Sizer, a 2020 first team All-PAC Frontier and second team All-Area selection, is seated center with Dale (father), left, and Takya (mother), right.
