Mercury Roundup (Sept. 21): Lanzisera nets OT winner for Spring-Ford

Highlights: Claire Lanzisera finished off a Brooke Pappa through-ball minutes into the first overtime as the Rams picked up a PAC Crossover win over Pope John Paul II on Tuesday.

Freshman goalkeeper Olivia Neild did not need to make a single save on the night en route to picking up the clean sheet for Spring-Ford (7-2-1).

Highlights: Sarah Fisher scored a pair of goals as the Indians improved to 8-0 with Tuesday’s PAC Crossover contest.

Highlights: The Vikings defeated the Wildcats in three very competitive sets Tuesday. Set scored were b25-22, 25-10 and 25-17.

Sophia Schweikert was truly outstanding as she had 21 kills, 23 digs and 3 aces. Vanessa Hutchinson had 26 digs and 4 aces while Caitlyn Daywalt dished out 23 assists.

Methacton 3, Council Rock South 1

Highlights: The Warriors dropped a three-setter Tuesday in non-league action, falling 25-15, 25-23, 13-25, 26-24.

Mandy Baldwin had 10 kills and Meg Haftl had 21 assists in Methacton’s loss.

Berks League

Gov. Mifflin 3, Daniel Boone 0

Highlights: Sophia Schmehl recorded eight kills and four aces, and Isabella Bottiglieri registered 23 assists and four aces to lead the Mustangs, sweep of the Blazers. Set scores were 25-20, 25-16 and 25-23.

Highlights: The Vikings rebounded from a lopsided first-set loss to handle the Golden Panthers in Monday’s PAC match. Set scores were 9-25, 25-17, 25-19 and 25-21.

Vanessa Hutchinson had an incredible 49 digs while Sophia Schweikert led the offense with 27 kills. Caitlyn Daywalt had 28 assists, Julia Giammarco contributed 13 service points and 14 digs and Yalerie Acevado had 3 aces among her eight service points.
