Reporter/Times Herald Area Week Four Football Previews

A pair of District One powers will meet up Friday night, when Upper Dublin travels to North Penn in a Suburban One League non-conference showdown.
Kickoff is at 7 p.m.
The Knights come into this one at 3-0, with a 2-0 mark in the SOL National. The Cardinals are also 3-0, owning a 2-0 mark in the SOL Continental.
Both squads are coming off solid victories.
North Penn blanked Pennsbury 35-0 in Week Three while Upper Dublin was busy earning a 23-12 win over Bensalem.
Both teams are ranked second in their respective classes – NP is ranked second in District 1-6A, Upper Dublin second in District 1-5A.
The winner of this game gets a nice boost in its path towards the postseason.
Khalani Eaton has been rumbling along in the ground game for the Knights while Nyfise McIntyre has been doing the same for the Cards.

Upper Dublin at North Penn

Council Rock North at Pennridge

Last week: The Indians fell 42-16 to Souderton Area. The Rams downed Neshaminy 28-14.
Players to watch: Phil Picciotti was an impact guy on both sides of the ball last week for the Rams: at running back and linebacker. Sawyer Koza is a key target in the passing game for Rock North.
Prediction: Pennridge 35, Council Rock North 17.
Central Bucks West at Council Rock South
Site/Time: Friday, 7 p.m., at Rock South.
Records: CB West is 2-1 overall and 2-0 in the SOL National. CR South is 0-3 overall and 0-2 in the SOL Continental.
Last week: The Bucks shut out Abington 21-0. The Golden Hawks lost 41-13 to Quakertown.
Players to watch: Donte Mancini is tough to bring down in the ground game for the Bucks. Trey Bondy helps man the secondary for Rock South.
Prediction: CB West 24, CR South 14.
Souderton Area at Neshaminy
Site/Time: Friday, 7 p.m., at Neshaminy.
Records: Big Red is 2-1 overall and 2-0 in the SOL Continental. Neshaminy is 0-3 overall and 0-2 in the SOL National.
Last week: Souderton won 42-16 over CR North. The Skins lost 28-14 to Pennridge.
Players to watch: Jaydon Wilson is a tough runner for the Skins. Shaun Purvy helps lead a solid defense for Big Red.
Prediction: Souderton Area 31, Neshaminy 20.
Wissahickon at Upper Moreland
Site/Time: Friday, 7 p.m., at Upper Moreland.

Last week: Wiss lost 35-27 to Methacton. Upper Moreland topped Phoenixville 21-19.
Players to watch: Middle linebacker Owen Dunleavy helps anchor a tremendous Upper Moreland defense. Jason Michaels looks to make more big catches for Wiss.
Prediction: Upper Moreland 30, Wissahickon 16.
Plymouth-Whitemarsh at New Hope Solebury

Records: PW is 2-1 overall and 0-0 in the SOL American. New Hope is 1-2 overall and 0-0 in the SOL American.
Last week: The Colonials routed Norristown 49-8. The Lions edged Academ of the New Church 9-8.
Players to watch: Aiden O’Brien helps power the run game for the Colonials. Ryan Sullivan is a big target at tight end for New Hope.
Prediction: Plymouth-Whitemarsh 27, New Hope 16.
Pope John Paul II at Berks Catholic
Site/Time: Friday, 7 p.m., at Berks Catholic.
Records: PJP is 2-1 overall and 0-0 in the PAC Frontier. Berks is 2-1 overall, 0-0 in Berks Inter-County Conference, Section 1.
Last week: The Golden Panthers lost 32-27 to Springside Chestnut Hill. The Saints prevailed 39-29 over Chichester.
Players to watch: D.J. Clark brings a hot throwing arm into this one for PJP. Aron Reinhart does a lot at tight end for Berks.
Prediction: Pope John Paul II 22, Berks Catholic 14.
Norristown at Cheltenham
Site/Time: Friday, 7 p.m., at Cheltenham.

Players to watch: Kaden Cruz brings power to the Norristown ground attack. Kamden Wyatt hits hard at strong safety for Cheltenham.
Prediction: Cheltenham 21, Norristown 20.
Methacton at Pottstown

Records: The Warriors are 2-1 overall and 0-0 in the PAC Liberty. Pottstown is 0-3 overall and 0-0 in the PAC Frontier.
Last week: Methacton was a 35-27 winner over Wiss. The Trojans lost 55-13 to Octorara.
Players to watch: Brian Dickey adds a dimension to the Methacton passing attack at receiver. Malachi Neely is a solid ball carrier for Pottstown.
Prediction: Methacton 23, Pottstown 7.
West Catholic at Lansdale Catholic

Last week: The Explorers edged Imhotep 13-8.
Players to watch: Sam Brown made a big impact at receiver and as a runner last week for the Explorers. Quarterback Michael Benincasa makes a big impact for the Fords.
Prediction: La Salle 28, Haverford 14.
Olney Charter at Germantown Academy
Site/Time: Saturday, 1 p.m., at GA.

Prediction: GA 19, Olney 12.
