PIAA Class 2A Girls Lacrosse: Victory over So. Lehigh a first for O’Hara

For the first time in Cardinal O’Hara history, the Lions have a state lacrosse victory to their name.

O’Hara ran out to an eight-goal first-half lead on the way to a 16-5 win over Southern Lehigh, advancing the District 12 runner-up to the quarterfinals of the PIAA Class 2A tournament at Emmaus High School.

Ellie Miller led the way with four goals and three assists. Mia Scarduzio and Lexi Culp scored four goals each. Claire Natoli controlled the circle with eight draw controls. Rachel Familetti added two goals. Mack Hand stopped nine shots in goal to keep the District 11 champions at bay.

O’Hara (15-5) advances to take on District 3 champion York Catholic, which trounced Blackhawk, 18-4.
