PIAA Class 2A Boys Lacrosse: Kaut helps Penncrest move on to second round

In case there was any doubt Tuesday night, Penncrest made sure that the third quarter erased it.

The Lions scored five unanswered goals in the frame to take firm control of a 14-2 win over Wyoming Seminary in the first round of the PIAA Class 2A boys lacrosse tournament.

Brennan Kaut scored three goals to go with five assists for the District 1 champs. Stephen Woolery scored four times, Cody Woolery added three goals and Andrew Wickman turned aside five shots for the Lions. Penncrest advances to take on District 11 champ Allentown Central Catholic, which rampaged past Devon Prep/Delco Christian, 20-4.
