
Upper Dublin 15, Lower Moreland 2 >> Jenn McCarry finished with six goals and two assists as Upper Dublin rolled to a Senior Night victory Friday.
Ellie Eby and Maisie Hanson both scored two goals while goalkeeper Riley Brady made eight saves for the Cardinals (7-6, 6-2 SOL American) who led 13-1 at halftime.
UD’s Allie Rock, Lauren Dartley, Aditi Foster, Tess Reardon and Julie Zlotnikoff each added a goal.
Paige Malpezzi scored both goals for Lower Moreland (4-10, 1-7 SOL American), which lost its fourth straight.
Souderton 10, Coatesville 7 >> Lauren Hallman paced Souderton with five goals as Souderton erased a 4-1 halftime deficit to earn the nonleague victory.
Reiley Knize had three goals and an assist for the Indians (10-5, 5-4 SOL National), who have won two straight and three of their last four. Caroline Kelly collected two assists while Ang Borisow and Lexi Krebs each had a goal.
Souderton goalies Courtney Mallon and Tegan Farina each recorded five saves.
Boys Lacrosse
St. Joseph’s Prep 10, Lansdale Catholic 4 >> Lansdale Catholic goalie Conor Flanegan made 19 saves in the Crusaders’ PCL loss. Connor Mann scored all four goals for LC while Pat McKeever had two assists.
Conwell-Egan 6, Archbishop Wood 5 >> Archbishop Wood’s Nick Citrigno had two goals and six ground balls while goalie Matt Dombrowski made six saves as the Vikings were edged by Conwell-Egan in their PCL matchup.
Dan Divita finished with a goal, an assist and four ground balls for Wood. Dan Romano and Aiden McCarthy each had a goal with Romano collecting two ground balls. Aiden Boyle had an assist and two ground balls. Jackson Foley and Jake McNamee had eight and six ground balls, respectively.
Baseball
Pennridge 7, Lansdale Catholic 1 >> Harry Haeflein gave up four hits and struck out eight in a complete-game effort while Pennridge’s offense woke up in the bottom of the sixth, scoring all seven of its run to claim the nonleague win.
Joey Calabretti was 2-for-3 with a double, an RBI and run scored with Nic Chellew going 2-for-4 with an RBI for the Rams (4-11, 1-5 SOL Colonial). Matt Atchley collected two RBIs.
Lansdale Catholic took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first as Matt Costello scored when Jack Ferko reached on a two-out error.
Matt Dubyk pulled Pennridge even in the seventh with an RBI single to left. A Carson Well bases-loaded walk gave the Rams the lead with Ryan DeHaven’s RBI sacrifice fly making it 3-1.
After Tim Mastrogiovanni walked to load the bases again, Atchley pushed the lead to 5-1 with a two-RBI single to right. Pennridge added two more runs in the inning on RBI singles from Chellew and Calabretti.
Softball
Dock Mennonite 12, Morrisville 0 (5) >> Dock Mennonite pitcher Maggie Dowell allowed just two hits and struck out six while at the plate had three hits and two runs scored as the Pioneers rolled to a BAL win.
Katherine Kardos had three hits while Erin Miles finished with two hits and three runs scored for Dock. Eden Schrag made two putouts at right field in the fourth and also hit a single.
Abington 9, Lower Moreland 3 >> Annie Sokolski went 4-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored while Jess Sokolski was 3-for-4 with two RBI and a run as Abington topped Lower Moreland for an SOL nondivision win.
Meghan Strange finished 2-for-3 with two runs for the Galloping Ghosts (7-7, 0-6 SOL Liberty), who have won three of their last four. Lauren Everitt had a double and two RBIs, Leanna Schenk scored two runs.
Lower Moreland’s Madison Sahl was 2-for-3 with an RBI as the Lions (3-9, 3-3 SOL Freedom) lost their third straight.
Boys Volleyball
Haverford 3, Souderton 2 >> Souderton’s Aidan Wunderly had 15 kills while Tate Kreiser made 28 digs in the Indians’ five-set loss to Haverford.
