Mercury Lacrosse Roundup (April 13): Beidler’s big day helps Boyertown past Phoenixville

Boyertown 9, Phoenixville 6 >> Emma Beidler’s four-goal day led the Bears to a PAC crossover over the Phantoms on Tuesday.

Alina Friz tallied two goals for Boyertown with Delaney Fox, Hailey Gruber and Cori Bieber each adding one.

Andrea Hook tallied a hat trick for the Phantoms as Gianna Thaxton, Jaime Michaud and Lucy O’Donnell rounded out Phoenixville’s scoring.

Maddy Schramm made 15 saves for the Phantoms, while Elli Ferraro saved 10 shots for the Bears.

Upper Perkiomen 24, Norristown 1 >> The Indians rolled to a PAC crossover win over the Eagles on Tuesday.

Olivia Rogers had a hat trick for Upper Perkiomen and Mia Schneider, Abby Orsini, Bella Carpenter, Grace Vogel, Jess Traynor, Marykate Sitko and Payton Bettys each tallied a pair of goals.

Owen J. Roberts 20, Pottstown 2 >> Blakely Doyle had a hand in five goals Tuesday as the Wildcats cruised to a PAC crossover win.

Doyle (two assists) and Ava Clemson (assist) both tallied hat tricks. Gabbi Koury (nine draw controls) and Maggie Kilgallon added two goals and an assist each. Gracyn Smith had three assists.

Perkiomen Valley 14, Pottsgrove 4 >> Kaleigh Funk led the way with four goals and Emily Carney and Anna Dawson added a pair of hat tricks for the Vikings in Tuesday’s PAC crossover win.

Elle Ambruster added two goals and an assist, Tori Bruno tallied a goal and three assists and Maya Fulmer had a goal and an assist to round out PV’s offensive contributors.

Sydney Wasdick netted a pair of goals and Sydney Tornetta and Taylor Fiorini both added one for the Falcons. Makenzie Johnson and Lily Guerrette both made three saves.

Spring-Ford 17, Upper Merion 9 >> Mac Maloney and Alyssa Mozi combined for 10 goals as the Rams rose past the Vikings in a PAC crossover Tuesday.

The six goals of Maloney and four of Mozi were complemented by Brenna Whiteside (2), Abbey Boyer (2), Emma Sowers (1), Jordyn Edwards (1) and Madi Doyle (1).

Upper Merion got multiple goals from Cat Merritt (4) and Julianna Collison (2)

Boyertown 18, Pope John Paul II 3 >> Lane Yergey’s five goals paved the way to a Bears PAC crossover win over the Golden Panthers on Tuesday.

Aidan McFalls and Adam Gallagher added hat tricks for Boyertown, which also got two-goal games from Luke Heimbach (assist) and Gage Parker. Jonathan Mayan (two assists), Ryder Gehris and Wyatt Yerger rounded out the Bears’ scoring with Grizz Eardley adding an assist.

Wyatt Yerger and John McGrath combined to win 16-of-19 faceoffs.

Methacton 11, Phoenixville 3 >> After a 2-2 tie at halftime, the Warriors outscored the Phantoms 9-1 in the second half on the way to a PAC crossover win.

Justin Sanelli accounted for seven of Methacton’s scores with four goals and three assists. Jimmy Maro scored twice and Brendan Sanelli scored once with goalie Owen Avelar making 11 saves.
