Mercury Softball Roundup (April 6): Methacton’s Deal dominant in win over Pottsgrove

Methacton 5, Pottsgrove 0 >> Paige Deal struck out 17 while scattering three hits and one walk as the Warriors blanked the Falcons in Tuesday’s PAC divisional crossover game.

Liv Terry was 2-for-3 with a double and one RBI, and Serena Goodridge was also 2-for-3 with two RBI. Tori Bockrath hit a lead-off home run to open the sixth inning while Nicole Timko doubled for Methacton

Mikayla Eckman took the loss for Pottsgrove. Kalysta Santino doubled for Pottsgrove.

Penn Manor 14, Daniel Boone 2 >> Kristen DiNolfi and Amber Williams were the batting stars for the Blazers as they sustained their first loss of the season Tuesday, in a non-league matchup with the Comets.

DiNolfi hit a double and Williams drove in a run for the Blazers (2-1), whose 2-0 lead in their first at-bat was short-lived. Penn Manor plated a combined 11 runs in its first two at-bats, then brought the “mercy rule” into play with a three-run fourth.
