Four Pottsgrove athletes make college commitments

Four Pottsgrove student-athletes recently announced their college destinations. Making their athletic college commitments were: Naomi Hillen (cross country, Saint Francis University), Rachel Ludwig (basketball, Widener University), Olivia Plotts (swimming, Lycoming College).

Naomi Hillen, Cross Country, Saint Francis Univ.

Pottsgrove cross country runner Naomi Hillen will continue her academic and athletic careers at Saint Francis University, where she will major in environmental engineering. Hillen, a member of Green Allies at the Althouse Arboretum, was a three-time all-league selection, the 2018 PAC champ and a 2019 PIAA medalist. Justin Collings, Soccer, Marietta College

Pottsgrove soccer player Justin Collings will continue his academic and athletic careers at Marietta College, where he will major in health sciences. Collings, a second team All-PAC Frontier selection, was also a member of Key Club, Arboretum, Student Government, DECA and National Honor Society. Rachel Ludwig, Basketball, Widener Univ.

Pottsgrove basketball player Rachel Ludwig will continue her academic and athletic careers at Widener University, where she will major in nursing. Ludwig was a second team All-PAC Frontier player in 2020. Seated from left  are mother Lori Ludwig, Rachel Ludwig, and father Mark Ludwig.

Olivia Plotts, Swimming, Lycoming College

Pottsgrove swimmer Olivia Plotts will continue her academic and athletic careers at Lycoming College, where she will major in biology. Plotts, a 2020 District 1-2A qualifier, was also a member pf National Honor Society, DECA, Tutoring and Althouse Arboretum Core Team.
