Basketball: Eagan’s fast start paces Bonner-Prendergast

Alexis Eagan went for 20 points in Bonner-Prendergast’s 63-42 Catholic League win over Conwell-Egan Thursday.

Eagan hit four of her six 3-point field goals during a 24-point first quarter by the Pandas (2-5).

Reagan Dolan netted eight of her 17 points in the fourth quarter. Bridie McCann added 11 points and Aniya Jackson contributed 10.

Germantown Academy 57, Agnes Irwin 24 >> Jessica Moore scored a game-high 15 points for the Patriots. Kelly Cooper led the Owls with eight points.

Boys Basketball

Jameel Brown produced 20 points and Zach Genther tallied 19 points as The Haverford School defeated Malvern Prep, 74-67, in Inter-Ac League action.

Genther knocked down four 3-point field goals and went 5-for-5 at the free-throw line. Brown made three triples and as a team the Fords (5-2) converted 11 shots from beyond the arc.

Christian Clover and Bernie Rogers added nine points apiece for Haverford.
