Downingtown duel in opener highlights 4-game season sprint for Ches-Mont football

The Ches-Mont League will make a mad dash toward the playoffs with just four league games for each team.

The league will open with a crosstown battle highlighting the Week 1 slate.

The schedule, which was obtained Tuesday by Pa. Prep Live, is highlighted by an opening night matchup between Downingtown East and Downingtown West.

The Ches-Mont schedule does not include Bishop Shanahan. The Eagles began practice a week after the rest of the league, and were forced into a 14-day hold due to a positive COVID-19 test on Monday. Shanahan is unable to play a game until October 31st, so if the Eagles play any games at all, sources say they will have to find their own opponents with open dates.

The schedule, which of course is tentative — as is everything in the COVID-19 era — is below:

Downingtown West at Downingtown East
