Peabody’s four goals power Strath Haven

Josh Peabody scored four goals, three times off the primary assist of Maxwell Riess, as Strath Haven used five first-period goals to rout Garnet Valley, 11-1, in the ICSHL Central Friday night.

Riess tallied four assists, and Peabody added a helper. The Panthers scored three power-play goals and a short-handed tally in the first period.

Nick Dignazio paired a goal with three assists, and Walter Clauss, Thomas Sullivan and Luke O’Connor contributed a goal and an assist each. William Graham made 18 saves in the win.

Nicholas Port scored an unassisted goal at 4:14 of the first to get Garnet Valley back even, but the Panthers scored less than two minutes later.

Springfield 6, Ridley 1 >> Adin Zappo and Colin Hopkins had a goal and an assist each as the Cougars had six different goalscorers, including four in the second period to take the game over.

John Bassett, Colin Hannigan, Shane Knoell and Connor Rysak also scored for Springfield, who got 11 saves from Tyler Philiposian. The only concession was a shorthanded goal by Ron Higgins in the second period.

Girls Hockey

Laura Girton tallied the game-winning goal in the second period to lead Radnor to a 4-1 win over Conestoga.

Caitlin Fram tallied a goal and an assist, and Brigid Lowry and Anne Burton also scored for the Raiders.
