It’s seven up for Haven in taking down Penncrest

There were plenty of goals to go around for Strath Haven’s hockey team Thursday night.

Evan Spanier and Max Reiss dished three assists each as seven Panthers lit the lamp in a 7-1 Central League win over Penncrest.

Walter Clauss, Christian Thack and Thomas Sullivan had a goal and an assist apiece for the Panthers (3-0). Josh Peabody, Brett Miller, Jake Dougherty and Morgan Bensel also scored for Haven, and Luke O’Connor added a pair of assists.

Sean Smolcynski had the only goal for Penncrest in its opener. Gannon Walker battled with 46 saves.
