Reporter Field Hockey Roundup: Ball’s hat trick leads Wissahickon past Upper Dublin

Grace Ball scored the first two goals of the Wissahickon field hockey tam’s SOL American Conference matchup with Upper Dublin then complete her hat trick at 18:24 in the second half as the Trojans bested Upper Dublin 4-0 Wednesday for their fifth win in a row.

Ball also added an assist, while Hannah Havrilla finished with a goal and an assist for Wissahickon (6-1-1, 5-1-0). Lauren Donofrio added an assist.

Rhianna Gonzales made 18 saves for the Cardinals (2-3-2, 1-3-2), which lost their second straight.

Ball scored the opening goal at 28:02 then doubled the lead at 19:45. Wissahickon went into halftime up 3-0 after Havrilla’s goal at 9:57.

North Penn 2, Central Bucks South 0 >> Jillian Lampitoc scored 1:09 into the SOL Continental contest then added goal another before halftime as North Penn shut out visiting Central Bucks South for a fourth consecutive victory.

Lampitoc gave the Knights (4-3-1, 3-2-0) a 2-0 lead at 16:52 in the first half off an assist from Eleni Kountroubis.

Jillian Heilig made six saves for the Titans (4-4-0, 2-3-0).

Plymouth Whitemarsh 8, Upper Moreland 0 >> Ava Borkowski powered another high-scoring Plymouth Whitemarsh performance, scoring five goals as the Colonials rolled to an SOL American victory.

Kaleigh Missimer had a goal and two assists for PW (7-0-0, 6-0-0), which led 5-0 at halftime. Alexis Minor and Autumn Luptak each added a goal while Kayla Link collected an assist.

The Colonials have scored at least seven goals in their last five games.

Dock Mennonite 3, Jenkintown 2 (OT) >> Jenkintown rallied for a 2-0 halftime deficit to force overtime but Elle Bergey gave Dock Mennonite the BAL win, lifting a shot into the right corner of the net at 3:45 in the extra period.

Kylie Godshall and Kate Landis each had a goal for Dock (4-4-0, 4-2-0 league) while Bergey and Savahn Duerksen each collected an assist.

Jenkintown received goals from Carley Mulvaney and Kaelin DiMaria — Adelyn Smith assisting on DiMaria’s tally.

Dock’s Casey Harper and Jenkintown’s Lauren Brockwell each made fourth saves.

Springfield-Montco 5, Cheltenham 0 >> Maddie Yoder and Anya Kochanowicz both scored twice as Springfield won its fourth straight with its first shutout of the season.

Kate Wojeck had a goal and assist while Kochanowicz also collected an assist for the Spartans (6-2-0, 4-2-0 SOL American), who led 3-0 at halftime.

Cardinal O’Hara 2, Archbishop Carroll 0 >> Cardinal O’Hara had  just three shots on goal in the PCL contest but scored on two of them in the first half as the Lions blanked Archbishop Carroll (2-4-0, 2-1-0 league).
