Boys cross country

Fleetwood Quad >> Daniel Boone made a solid run in Tuesday’s four-team Berks League meet at Fleetwood. The Blazers outran Berks Catholic (16-42) and the host Tigers (25-30) but fell short of Conrad Weiser (25-30).

Alex Pingitore finished second overall for Boone, his 17:05 clocking six seconds behind race winner Alfonso Knoll of Conrad Weiser. Luke Gehringer and Cory Miller were other Top 10 runners for the Blazers, a respective seventh (18:12) and eighth (18:22).

Girls cross country

Fleetwood Quad >> Daniel Boone swept the opposition in Tuesday’s four-team Berks League meet at Fleetwood. The Blazers handled Berks Catholic (16-43), Conrad Weiser (21-38) and the host Tigers (15-50).

Hannah Santos, Ashley Benoit, Carlina Davis and Olivia Poore went 2-3-4-5 for Boone behind Conrad Weiser’s Sydney Werner, who finished eight seconds ahead of Santos with a 20:46. Renee Camburn also finished in the Top 10 for the Blazers, coming in eighth.
