Leonhardt, Mitchell team up to lead Notre Dame

Mia Leonhardt scored off a Meg Mitchell assist in the first half, then Leonhardt reciprocated for Mitchell’s second-half tally as Notre Dame knocked off Villa Maria, 3-1, Monday.

Emily Graeff also scored, and Paige Kieft made seven saves, beaten only by a goal off a penalty corner in the final minutes, for Notre Dame (5-0).

In other nonleague action:

Episcopal Academy 7, Archbishop Carroll 0 >> Laura Null and Ashley Sessa scored in each half, and Jackie Miller and Mia Garber added a goal and an assist each for the Churchwomen. Gianna Cilluffo made three saves for the shutout for EA (4-1).

Cat Crossan stopped eight shots for Carroll (2-3).

In the Bicentennial League:

Bristol 1, Delco Christian 0 >> Rachel Yeung made nine saves and got help from a defensive save by Abbi Heacock, but the Knights (2-4-1, 1-3-1) couldn’t recoup a first-half goal in falling.
