Mercury Girls Volleyball Roundup: PJP, Perk Valley secure PAC wins

Pope John Paul II 3, Methacton 0 >> The Golden Panthers swept Friday’s PAC match with the Warriors by set scores of 25-17 25-15 and 25-17.

Statistical standouts for PJP were Sarah Ward (10 kills), Hanna Tulli (11 kills), Heather Lesinski (seven kills), Julia Durand (five kills), Chelsea Harvey (35 assists, two aces) and Tea Pasquale (12 digs). Leading the way for Methacton were Meghan Haftl (19 assists, 11 digs), Alli Hazlett (nine kills), Elly Brunt (15 digs) and Sydney Zerbe (six kills, four digs).

Perkiomen Valley 3, Phoenixville 0 >> The Vikings swept Friday’s PAC match with the Phantoms by set scores of 25-8, 25-13 and 25-11.

Phoenixville was headed by the play of Avery Stackhouse (eight digs), Riley Daher (three kills, two blocks), LeiLu Campbell (14 digs) and  Maria Coll (seven digs).

Unionville 3, Boyertown 2 >> The Indians outlasted the Bears in Friday’s non-league match. Set scores were  25-11, 19-25, 26-24, 23-25 and 15-3.

Leading the Bears were Julia Smith (27 digs), Savannah Derstine (11 digs, two aces) and Adrianna Derstine (nine kills, four aces and four digs), Emma Ludwig added  11 digs and 26 assists, and Emily Wolfe had 16 digs, 16 kills, three blocks and two aces.

Plumstead 3, Perkiomen 2 >> Plumstead Christian outlasted the Panthers Friday. Set scores were 25-17, 10-25, 16-25, 25-21 and 15-11
