Corr, Inglis nab braces as Marple Newtown wins neighborhood battle

Ciaran Corr and Fidel Inglis scored two goals apiece to pace Marple Newtown to a 4-1 nonleague victory over Delco Christian.

Corr tallied on a direct kick and off a pass from Justin Diburo. Inglis converted a penalty kick and added an unassisted goal. Goalie Ryan Straab made two saves to post the win.

Cole Levis scored on a PK and Josiah Bronkema made three saves in goal for the Knights.

In other nonleague action:

Garnet Valley 7, Penn Wood 0 << Timmy Comers scored twice in a five-minute span in the first half to stake the Jaguars to a 6-0 lead at the break.

Matt Bowes, Matt Ominsky, Mark Hurford, Andrew Smyers and Alex Romano added one goal each. Chase Woolard, Owen Abbott and Colin Keaveney combined to post the clean sheet.

Danial Ballah made five saves in goal for the Patriots.

Penncrest 2, Phoenixville 0 >> Nate Rodgers netted a pair of goals in the first half, one off an assist from Ethan Emory. Justin Potts made five saves for the Lions to post his fourth shutout.
