Mercury Field Hockey Roundup: Young’s goal the difference in Upper Perkiomen’s win over Boyertown

Upper Perkiomen 1, Boyertown 0 >> AiYi Young scored a goal off an assist from Kylene Gooch, and the Indians protected their one-goal lead the rest of the way to earn Wednesday’s PAC crossover win.

Upper Perk goalkeeper Lynnsi Joyce made six saves to record her third shutout of the season.

pionHill School 7, Agnes Irwin 0 >> The Rams recorded their second shutout of the season Wednesday in a win over Agnes Irwin.

Sarah Rogalsk got the Hill on the board with seven minutes left in the first half before adding another score along with Kennedy Cligget to give the team a 3-0 lead at halftime. 

McKay Allain scored two goals, the first of her career, and Josephine Palde and Riley Bauer added second-half scores to finish off the win. Alex Conway and Allain had assists for Hill.

Spring-Ford 5, Pottsgrove 0 >> Kate Crist and Julia Corropolese both netted a pair of goals in the Rams’ PAC crossover win Wednesday. Emma Friend had two assists, and Angelina Pinciotti scored a goal for Spring-Ford. Abbey Boyer and Mackenna Maloney also had assists for the Rams. Ashley Della Guardia and Lauren Ruffo combined for three saves in the cage for Spring-Ford, while Mackenzie Johnson made eight saves for the Falcons.

Owen J. Roberts 7, Pottstown 0 >> The Wildcats proved too much for the Trojans in a PAC crossover win Wednesday. Seven individual scorers for OJR included Maddi Koury, Kylee Laloup, Emma Kircher, Jenna Kirby, Emily Morrisey, Juliana Capece and Kendall Mcneff. Lillian Stirk made 21 saves for Pottstown.
