Dotsicas comes through for Springfield

Geo Dotsicas’ goal with 2:26 remaining made the difference in Springfield’s 6-5 win over Radnor Thursday.

Jack Spence tallied a hat trick and Liam DiFonzo scored twice for the Cougars (7-1, 5-1), who saw a 3-0 lead after one quarter evaporate but still battled back. Jimmy Donegan made seven saves in goal.

Also in the Central League:

Strath Haven 12, Penncrest 11 >> Ethan Belville’s fourth goal of the game with 3:04 left in overtime off a feed from Dylan Fitzgerald sealed the win for the Panthers.

Belville and Nicky Palermo (five goals) scored in the final two minutes to send the game to the extra session. Liam Carney added a goal and two assists.

Robbie McDonnell and Brennan Kaut tallied four goals and a helper each for the Lions. TJ Sims lit the lamp twice, and Shane Stevens kept the Lions close with 15 saves in net.

Garnet Valley 15, Lower Merion 5 >> Danny Bradley scored four goals to go with an assist, Jake Morin posted the reverse line and Mitch Lachman tallied a hat trick as the Jags rolled. Adam Oldrati was 18-for-21 at the X.

Conestoga 14, Ridley 7 >> Sean Hinchey scored five goals, and Jack Bakey scored a goal and three assists in a season-high offensive output for the Green Raiders, but it wasn’t enough in the face of five goals and three assists from Conestoga’s Will Schnorr.

Harriton 8, Haverford 5 >> Kyle Bennett (assist) and Quinn Carson scored twice each and Matt Davis made 10 saves, but the Fords were down 8-2 entering the fourth quarter.

In the Pac-10:

Boyertown 13, Interboro 1 >> CJ Jones scored off an AJ Porreca feed in the third quarter, and Connor Evans made 14 saves, but the Bucs fell.
